A Force Of Her Own

Chapter 3

  I wake up again, sitting up looking around the room is dark.  I get up and make my way downstairs feeling a bit dizzy, Poe is sitting there at the counter.  He looks up and runs over to me when he sees me.

“Rey thank god”, hugging me tight.  I glance up at him confused I look around the kitchen.

“Ahsoka is ok too”, he says guiding me to sit.  I sit trying to think about what just happened.  “what’s wrong Rey”, he asks getting some hot tea ready for me. 

I look down at my hand that is bandaged, I shake my head, “it’s nothing I whisper”, a tear rolling down my cheek. 

  I suddenly feel big arms wrap around me, hugging me, “nothing huh”, says Ben kissing my cheek wiping the tear off.

He gently turns me around; I look up tears now making their way down my face.

  “No crying”, he says wiping my tears away with his big hands. 

I look back at Poe, Ben sitting next to me now, “I am sorry if Poe tried to blow you up”, I say placing my hand on top of yours smiling at poe. 
He makes a face jokingly.

Ben nods, “its ok am used to it by now.  We all laugh.

  Ben looks at poe, his hand on my waist now, “you found BB8”, poe looking down sighing, “not yet”, he says.

   Ben looks at my bandaged hand and frowns, “I am fine”, I say.  He looks down at me and kisses me on the cheek.

I look around, “FINN”!  I look back at poe, he shakes his head not knowing, I jump up, “why are we sitting here”, I say getting up frustrated heading for the door. 

Finn sneaks around the corner telling you both to be quiet as he sneaks up on me.

“FINN WHO”?

I jump turning around igniting my saber.

Finn, Ben and Poe all laughing now. I push him playfully as he hugs me. 

We all sit back down again.  Finn grabbing some coffee and fried Porg strips, ben making a face.

“What”, I say picking up a Porg strip, “aww you eat them too”? he says making the cutest little face. I nod giggling.

  Ben asking how Ahsoka is Finn letting him know she is still resting; I nod realizing what happened.

Poe noticing me “ Rey it is not your fault” , he says , Ben rubbing my back softly.  “I don’t understand”, I say shaking my head. 
“Why my home where I grew up”? looking back down my hands. 

Ben gently taking both of my hands, I look up at him his soft hazel eyes smiling slightly, I just want to tackle him.  I keep it to myself for now.  “Do not worry about it now”, he says. 

He sits me on his lab wrapping his arms around me, I rest my head against him, as he rocks me ever so lightly. 

  “Ahh I knew that was you when I felt your touch”, Ahsoka says softly walking into the kitchen.  He nods. 
She thanks him.

  Ben tells us it was forces from an alliance with the dark side we are not sure of who yet, “so what does that mean”? I ask getting up to get more tea.  He is not sure, like the rest of us. 

  We need to find BB8 as soon as possible!

We take off on the falcon heading back to Jakku.
