Prompt - you and ningning are childhood best friends, even now, in hogwarts (harry potter!au)
a/n - I admittedly bent some of the rules to fit my story so pls don't yell at me if info is inaccurate 💕 someone requested a ningning ff but didn't say what kind of prompt, so I'm running with this one, hope u like it!
- for as long as you could remember, you and ningning stayed together
- always stuck to each other's sides like glue, or more accurately puzzle pieces fit into place
- if it weren't for her yelling at the kids on the playground at 5 years old for bullying you, you guys probably wouldn't even be friends
- but ever since that day, she protected you with her life
- and while she took care of you like a baby, she truly was the real baby
- you were never a very sentimental or physical person
- but with this clingy baby always holding your hand, interlocking arms, or even straight up koala hugging you, there was no stopping her or interjecting
- you just let the adorable tiger-looking girl climb you like a tree
"Y/N-nie!! I want cuddles!" Yizhuo whined, laying on your small twin sized bed.
"Ningie, you're so loud, you know my family's asleep!" You whisper-yelled back at the other 10 year old. It was an hour past your guys' bedtime and NingNing wanted to sleepover.
"Only if you come and hug me!" She pouted.
- because of the relationship you two had with each other, she would follow you anywhere, as you would for her as well
- so when you found out she was applying for hogwarts and begged for you to join her
- you easily gave in, your parents also encouraging you as alumni of the school as well
- she got her acceptance letter first, followed by yours, and the two of you couldn't have been more excited
- now here you both were, sitting in class together years later, making faces at each other from across the classroom, her making that stupid face she makes all the time
- she was a ravenclaw and you were a gryffindor
- while initially devastated you two weren't going to be able to hang out closely anymore, ningning got over it in an interesting fashion
"Wait, this just means we can be like a forbidden love!" She excitedly said.
You looked down at the slightly smaller girl as you walked arm-in-arm with each other out of the Great Hall, "Ningie.... what?"
"You know! Like Romeo and Juliet! Different houses?!" She continued.
You only just giggled at the cute and jumpy baby, "Okay Yizhuo, okay."
