I'm sure you're wondering at this point, what are you and Sherlock? Boyfriend, girlfriend? A fling? Denying relationship? Or convincing yourselves you're merely friends?

Well, I'm currently asking myself the same thing.

Obviously, I'm not dumb. We're not dating. John would go absolutely ballistic. Hell, John would go absolutely ballistic if he found out about what Sherlock and I have been doing behind his back.

One day, the truth is going to come out. But for now, just enjoy the adrenaline filled moments between you two, Y/N! Just be spontaneous for once in your pathetic life.

"Y/N? Hellooo?" John waves his hand in front of my face.

"Hm?" I instantly shoot up, snapping out of my thoughts.

"I asked what you're getting for lunch?" He sits across from me in the diner booth, Sherlock soon sliding next to me. I guess I'd been staring at the soup menu for longer than usual.

"Oh, sorry," I chuckle, "Turkey sub, I guess." I smile, folding up the menu.

"Soo Lin's apartment had been cold for at least three days. We need to take a visit in the museum after hours. She'll be there." Sherlock taps furiously on the table.

"How do you know she'll be there? What if the guy's already got her?" John questions.

"She has an obligation. Her whole adulthood she's cared for these century old teapots. She'll be there." Sherlock responds by looking outside at the setting sun. A few moments of comfortable silence passes until John speaks up.

"So, Y/N. Did you take Daniel's offer?" John bites some of his sandwich. I tense up at the name, since Sherlock is sitting right next to me. I swallow hard, wondering what the hell John is talking about.

"What...offer?" I shake my head with concerned eyes.

"Well, he told me a few weeks ago he'd like to take you out sometime. Did that ever happen?" He asks, making Sherlock smirk a bit.

"No...no. Daniel and I, heh...no." I nod my head, my hand shaking at the tension surrounding the three of us.

"Oh? I thought you two would be a good match for each other." John says, making Sherlock instantly laugh out loud. John and I look at him, and I silently glare at him.

"Ha! Daniel, heh, and Y/N? Yeah...pfft, heh, okay!" Sherlock chuckles, nodding sarcastically. I try to hide my blushing cheeks by sipping some water.

"I think Daniel's made more of an impression than you ever could, Sherlock." John raises his eyebrows, the statement making me choke on my water with irony.

You don't even know, Johnny. You don't even know the impression he's made.

"Right, right. I can galvanize any female into fancying me because I'm a detective inspector." Sherlock mocks Daniel, as I try not to grin.

"If I didn't know better, I would say that you're jealous of Daniel." John smiles, taunting the easy envy of Sherlock.

I'll say.

"Daniel and I are friends." I diffuse the tension easily. "Anyways, tell us about you're beau, Johnny. Sarah was her name?"

"Another one named Sarah? Really? Didn't the last one have major FaceTune on her profile picture?" Sherlock crosses his legs and places his arm behind me on the top of the booth.

Don't blush, don't blush, don't blush.

"And didn't we end up absolutely plastered that night?" I furrow my brows, thanking the waitress for the sandwich.
