CHAPTER 10

Mullai's House

ArVMPA are pacing at the entrance waiting for Mullai.

Arjun: Ippadiye wait pannina sari varathu. Naan poi avale thedittu vanthudren. (He takes the key and goes to his car followed by VM and PA. He is about to get inside his car when they see the main gate being opened. Mullai enters inside. They go towards Mullai.)

Akila: Pattu kutty, vanthuttiya!!?? Enggeda pone ivvalavo neram?? Anne ippothan unneye thedalam'nu…. (Mullai hugs her and cries making all of them shocked and worried.) Hey, enna aachu, thanggam!!?? Yen aluvure??

Malar: (caresses her hair) Enna aachu, paapa!!??

Vetri: Mothe ivale ulle kootitu pongge. (MA take her inside.)

Pugazh: En ippadi aluvura?? (Arjun's mobile rings.)

Arjun: (looks at the id) Jeeva. (Answers the call.) Hello, Jeeva.

Jeeva: Arjun, Mullai veetukku vanthuttala??

Arjun: Aama ippothan vantha. Yen kekuringge??

Jeeva: Naan mothe kadaikku vanthappo, Kathir'um Mullai'yum onna veliye poyirukkaghe'nu anne sonnaru. Enakku santhoshama irunthuchi. Aana Kathiru vanthathulernthu, avan mugame sari illei. Enna'nu ketalum avan ethuvum solle maatinggiran.

Arjun: Mullai'yum aluthukittu irukka. Enggalukkum onnum puriyale. Naangge Mullai kitte pesi paakurom. Neenggalum Kathir kitte pesi paarungge. (Jeeva agrees and they end the call.)

Pugazh: Enna sonnaru??

Arjun: Mullai'yum Kathir'um onna veliye poyirunthanggala. Kathir'ode mugam vanthathulernthu sari illei'nu sonnaru. Athan Mullai'ye pathi ketaru.

Vetri: Avungge rendu perum ethukku veliye ponangge??

Arjun: Athu teriyale. Vaangge namme Mullai kitte pesi paarpom. (They go inside.)

Living Area

Mullai is crying sitting on the sofa. Malar and Parvathy are consoling her. Akila brings a glass of water and feeds her.

Akila: Alathe, kutty ma. (Caresses her hair. ArVP too come there. They let her to calm down first.) Ippo sollu. Enna nadanthuchi?? En pattu kutty'ye yaaru ippadi ale vechathu!!??

Malar: Nee yaaru'nu sollu, papa. Yaara irunthaalum vechi senjiruvom. (ArVP look at each other and give a sarcastic smile.)

Mullai: Naan mothe anthe dhaadikaarar kude veliye ponen.

Malar: Dhaadikaarar'ah?? Athu yaaru??

Mullai: Anthe Pandian Stores nadathuraghale. Kannan'ode moonavathu anne. (MA look at ArVP which they nod their heads.)

Arjun: Kathir'ah??

Mullai: Avughethaan. Naan avughe kude veliye ponen.

Vetri: Nee ethukku avaru kude veliye pone??

Mullai: Nalla restaurant engge irukku'nu keten. Athan avughe kootitu ponaghe.

Pugazh: Restaurant ah?? Angge ethukku??
