Animal Love

Do you love animals?

All animals, not just domestic ones?

I do

I just love them to pieces

Even if I don't have one of my own after years of wanting,

I will be sure to have one in the future.

Animals are special

They are not simply just pets

They are there for you when you need them

When you had a hard day at work

Or when you were being bullied

Or when you feel like crying

Or when you feel like showing some love

Or when you don't want to feel lonely anymore

(which I often do)

All one needs to do is go to their animal

And look into their enchanting eyes

Touch their soft smooth fur

Pull them in for a hug if you can

Give them kisses if you'd like

And you will find that you are okay again.

...

But, we also have to do our part

We need to make sure they are groomed

That they have eaten enough food

And drank enough water

That they are in good health conditions

And have a nice comfortable place to sleep in

...

Some people don't do this for their animals

And it makes me sick

To know that there are people out there

That see animals as their punching bags

Or as their slaves

Something that they can do whatever they want to just because they own them

...

Well I am sure of one thing

The end result for them will not be pretty

Because we have taken them from their homes

Domesticated them and claimed them as our own

The least we could do

Is simply show them some pure animal love
