A Book of Shadows is also known as a Grimoire. But truthfully their slightly different. I will get to that in the next chapter. I look at a Book of Shadows as a witches diary. This is were you record your notes, dreams, thoughts, rituals and spells, etc.
What you can use
-buy a Book of Shadows (which is a notebook)
- Binder (for me this is easiest as you can take things out and move things around and add more pages.
- Google doc
- Pintrest bored (not highly recommend but you could)
-A regular notebook
- A diary
Things to include is
- Dreams you had and interpretations
-Definitions
- Wiccan Rede and other sacred texts
- Poems
- Your deities (gods/goddesses)
- Recording of your gems and what their used for
- Charts
- Color correspondents (for example green means healing, growth, etc)
- Candle correspondents
- Holidays you celebrate (like Sabbaths) and how to celebrate them or how you do. This can include rituals, foods, gems for each holidays, etc.
- spells and rituals. You can include how it went, what went wrong, etc.
-Recipes
- reflections and thoughts
- Theories
- Herbology like what each plants are used for, how to care for them, etc
- Moon cycles
-Symbols
-Divination
- And more
