Chapter 1

~~~~[y/n] POV~~~~

I walk in my dorm and flopped on my bed tired from today, I just finished exams and I know I did well, but the whole thing was just tiring

Camila came in an hour later, she picked a different major and decided to be a physical therapist for younger kids, she said that her illusion quirk can brighten up there day when times are tough

We got in the same university, and managed to be in the same dorms, but we weren't the only ones in the dorms, I have a pet bird, he's a love bird and has this watermelon color

Hence his name is 'watermelon' I took him out of his cage and he went on my shoulder playing with my hair as I did some research

I've been looking up the best place to open a café and what buildings I can buy, I've also mostly been researching where café's are most popular

"[y/n] wanna go to the mall or something" I looked up at Camila and back at my computer

"Sure, I need a break anyways" I closed up my computer and set it aside on my bed, we then walk out and made our way to the mall

"I think you forgot to put someone away" I look at her and then felt something nibbled on my ear

"Ooohh yeah, watermelon is fine, he doesn't fly away"

"I don't think they let birds in"

"Then let's go to... to a taco stand, hadn't eaten something decent in awhile" we made our way to a taco stand and ordered some food, we got soda and we ate, I fed some crackers to watermelon and he munched on that real quick

"So after graduation what are you planning to do" Camila asked looking up from her food

"I don't really know, you know I've been wanting to open my own little café, but those are expensive, and I can't ask my parents"

"No shit, are parents are broke as hell"

"Anyways, I was planning to get a job, once I have enough money I'm gonna open my own café, it's gonna take awhile but I think it'll be worth it, what about you"

"I'm gonna go look around, be an assistant of some sort, after that I'll probably try to climb my way up, have you found a café that has caught your eye"

"Actually yeah I did, but I don't think your gonna like it"

"Well how come? It's your dream job, I'm gonna like it either way"

"That's what you say now, but wait until you see where it is" she just rolled her eyes at me

Once we finished eating we walked around, Camila was looking through her phone while I looked around shops, my eyes caught eye of a game store that had 'Pop' inside

I immediately went inside and looked around, watermelon was tucked inside my hair, but he was still visible since his beak was sticking out

I grabbed a (favorite character) Pop, and purchased it "you really like collecting those don't you"

"I think there cute, and it's kinda cool to have a hobby" we went back to the dorms and I laid back down, watermelon was playing in his jungle area I made for him while I looked at the building that caught my eye

It was perfect, just needs renovation, the shop was at the bottom while there was an apartment on top, it had two bedrooms one bathroom, kitchen, living room, the master bedroom had a walk in closet, everything it needs for a singleton like me

I can make the extra bedroom like a little art space for me, I've been wanting to make digital art, and maybe do little animations

"So you gonna show me what building caught your eye"

"Oh, sure" I sat beside her on her bed "I'm just gonna tell you straight up, okay" she looked at me "it's in Japan"

"Huh?"

"Yeah, I plan on moving there"

"You want to what!?" Camila yelled in my ear

"I was thinking maybe I can move away somewhere else, I did research and tried to find where café's would be most popular, and Japan is one of them"

"Well?" she waited for me to say something and I pulled out my laptop

"This place seems nice"

"I'm not sure"

"Nothing can go wrong... right?"
