A source close to the couple have revealed that the Little Mix star and footballer parted ways a month ago but are still on good terms.
"It was nothing dramatic," the source explained," they both realized they would most likely never live in the same city and that they were at critical points in their careers and needed to focus on that."
The couple started dating in 2017.
"The decision was a result of a discussion about their future and the prospect of marriage. Perrie has no plans to permanently move to Manchester, and Alex sees no future in London and they simply did not want to be a couple who never lived together."
