1st Life

Proudly looking with a smile plastered on my face, I entered the Emperor’s office. I did not bother to knock.
“Husband...” Mahinahon kong ani. He turned to me with an expressionless face. I pursed my lips.
It does not matter. I am used to it, anyway. Even when he acts cold or not bothered with me, I am still okay. All does not matter as long as I have him by myself.
“How many times do I have to tell you? Call me by my title.” His cold gaze then went to the paper he is working at. I sat on the sofa and stared at him.
It has been been five years since I saw him. A cliche love at first sight but my love for him has not faded at all. Not even once. To be exact, the obsession and love for him even grew than before. Since I am a royalty of another kingdom, I begged my father, the king, to pair me with Alas, the crown prince of the empire my kingdom is part of it back then, for marriage. I did not care whether it was a political one or not. I just want him to be mine. We were married four years ago yet he is still the same. A cold, stoic man whose heart is like a stone. I know that but I still love him. I am blinded by him.
A curve rosed from my lips.
Unfortunately, a child, an heir, is still missing to make a real family. But he did not even come to my room even once. Ako lagi ang pumupunta sa kanya ngunit palagi ring tinatanggahin. Work is his priority, like he stated.
“And how many times do I have to tell you, too? We are partners. I am your wife.” I reminded him.
Still, I know this will not get to him since I have said it many times. He is stubborn, so am I.
“Empress.”
“Yes, Husband?” I tilted my head.
“Have you finished the concerns of the East?” I knew it. This is what he was going to ask me.
I smiled.
“I already did.” Sagot ko. He undoubtedly looked at me.
Hindi iyon maiiwasan. Ilang araw niya lang ibinigay sa akin ang aking tatrabahuin ngunit natapos ko ito agad. I have worked hard. I really wanted to finish it fast without interruptions because I want to see him. “A while ago.”
“You should have taken this time to rest.” My lips remained straight.
“Then should I help you with your work?” Tumayo ako at lumapit sa kanya. I was about to get the file near him but he got it instead. My hand just slipped through the file.
“No need.” Sagot niya. Ibinaba ko ang aking kamay. Hindi ko na pinansin pa ang trato niyang iyon.
