"Our universe grants every soul a twin -- a reflection of themselves -- the kindred spirit -- And no matter where they are or how far away they are from each other -- even if they are in different dimensions, they will always find one another. This is destiny; this is love."

- Julie Dillon

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

You and Todoroki trained like that every day until the Sports Festival. He even went over to your house one weekend to get your aunt to drag you out of bed when you weren't cooperating.

You worked on combat, but you also worked on your quirk quite a bit. You had increased your quirks endurance and strength, now being able to create something as big as a storage container. Todoroki had been right — your quirk only needed training. It wasn't strong because you hadn't trained it at all.

When it came to modifying other metal that wasn't created by your quirk, it was better, but because you had only learnt to do it recently, the skill wasn't as strong as everything else you had improved on.

It was now the day of the Sports Festival, and you were nervous as all hell. You knew you weren't going to make it to the finals, so you were more nervous for your soulmate. Todoroki was strong, but that didn't mean that everyone else was weaker than him. You knew he was going to get into some pretty tough rounds.

And to add to his rough day, his father would be attending. You weren't sure of how Todoroki felt about the idea, but you had planned to stay away from his father as much as possible. You knew Todoroki's dad wanted him to marry someone with a strong quirk, and you definitely didn't have that.

On top of that, you'd probably verbally abuse him. Either way, he wouldn't like you.

You were now in the break room with the rest of the class, trying to ease Uraraka and Midoriya's nerves, as both of them were freaking the fuck out.

"Guys, trust me. You are strong as hell. You will get hurt, yes, but so will everyone else. Everyone is in the same boat here."

"Yeah, but it isn't just that, (Y/N)-chan!" Midoriya exclaimed.

     "Would you like to elaborate?"

"There will also be sponsors!" Uraraka also shouted nervously. "People who will want to train students and bring them in for internships! What if we're not good enough to get an internship?"

"Okay, first off, the fact that you guys think so lowly of yourselves to think that you have no chance of getting an internship whatsoever is actually so offensive and hurtful. How dare you think so lowly of yourselves!"

      "Wait, (Y/N)-chan—"

You cut Midoriya off almost immediately, "You are my best fucking friends! If you think I'm going to stand by and listen to you talk shit about yourselves, OHOHO, BUDDY, YOU GOT ANOTHER THING COMING. I BELIEVE IN YOU, AND THE FACT THAT YOU THINK MY FAITH IS SHITTY ENOUGH TO IGNORE IS TRULY OFFENSIVE. I LOVE YOU BOTH, NOW TAKE MY SUPPORT BEFORE I SHOVE IT DOWN YOUR THROATS MYSELF—"

"I think you already have—" you interrupted Iida.

     "MYSELF, I SAY!"

     "SHUT THE FUCK UP, (L/N)!"

"GO SWIM IN A POOL OF YOUR OWN NITROGLYCERIN SWEAT, BAKUGOU!"

      "I ALREADY AM!"

      "THAT'S DISGOSTANG!"

      "GOOOOOOO FUCK YOURSELF!"

You were about to fight back when you heard Todoroki from behind your "(Y/N)."

Turning around, you smiled up at him, your attitude shifting completely. "Hi, Todoroki!"

"Can I talk to you alone?" He asked, and you suddenly became a bit worried.

      "What's wrong? Is everything okay?"

"Everything is fine. I just thought I should get a proper chat on with you before today starts." He said, turning around and leaving the break room. You followed, waiting behind him as he closed the door. He turned back to you, "My father is here already."

You frowned in worry, "I'm sorry. Are you okay?"

"I don't know. I really wish he weren't here. I'd much rather have my mother here."

You smiled softly at him, reaching up and rubbing his arm soothingly. "It's okay. I'm right here if you need anything. And if he does anything to you, I'll kick his ass."

Todoroki didn't smile, giving you a warning look instead, "Don't get on my father's bad side, (Y/N). He's already bad enough as it is when he's just himself."

You chuckled, nodding your head, "Okay, I'll try not to. No promises, though. Does he know about who your soulmate is?"

Todoroki's face went sour, and he scowled as he said, "Oh, that. You should've seen the look on his face upon the discovery that his son was one of the legendary soulmates. He felt like he was so powerful, despite having nothing to do with it. He doesn't know who my soulmate is, though. I intend to keep you away from him as much as possible. He's a horrible person, (Y/N), and I don't want you around someone like that."

You nodded your head, smiling softly at him before saying, "I understand. I think we're about to go off and begin, so. . ."

You didn't know what else to do. You didn't know why you did what you did, but you did it.

You quickly leaned up and kissed his cheek, saying, "Good luck," before completely escaping back into the break room, where you remained under one of the tables until Bakugou had to drag you out.
