Personally, I think that Darkstalker's theme song is Immortals, despite that many believe it is Centuries. My opinion is my own, think what you want.

Imagine this song taking place in Darkstalker's peak: right when he convinces everyone that Animus magic is safe for him to use, and that the soul reader proves that he is not evil. It is also crucial that this takes place before Clearsight takes off the moonstone earrings, so she has not yet seen the bad futures. This is where the song begins, when Darkstalker is trying to show Clearsight all of the happy futures.

"They say we are what we are,

But we don't have to be,"

Reference to animus magic.

"I'm bad behavior but I do it in the best way,"

Reference to how Darkstalker is evil even though he doesn't think so.

"I'll be the watcher (watcher) of the eternal flame,"

Possibly a reference to Moon? Or simply a reference to watching the future, take your pick.

"I'll be the guard dog of all your favorite dreams,"

Key Word: Dreams. This line is about Darkstalker giving the Dream Visitors to Clearsight and Fathom.

"I am the sand in the bottom half of the hourglass (glass, glass)

(Ooh)"

Originally, this line was supposed to mean something like "even though  time has run out, I still live on" But even though that would make sense in this case, there is a double meaning.

The Soul Reader. In the top half lies white sand (representing evil IceWings) and in the BOTTOM HALF OF THE HOURGLASS lies black sand (representing good NightWings). With that in mind, this line also means "I'm good not evil, and totally haven't lost my soul"

"I try to picture me without you but I can't"

Eerily similar to the line "Maybe there would be no queen on the throne beside him" (when he is about to meet Clearsight at Agate Mountain"

" 'Cause we could be immortals, immortals

Just not for long, for long,

And live with me forever now,

You pull the blackout curtains down,

Just not for long, for long,

We could be immor- immortals,

Immor- immortals,

Immor- immortals,

Immor- immortals,"

Here we have the chorus.  "We COULD be Immortals" is how Darstalker COULD enchant Clearsight to be Immortal. "Just not for long, for long" is really ironic, because how could you stop being immortal? "live with me forever now" is more of Darkstalker trying to convince Clearsight, but the next line "You pull the blackout curtains down," shows how Clearsight decides not to, and slips Darkstalker into an eternal slumber.

"Sometimes the only pay off for having any faith,

Is when it's tested again and again everyday,"

Darkstalker arguing with Clearsight, and later how she takes off the earrings (very similar to how Foeslayer takes off her earring enchanted by Arctic, who Darkstalker is right about to kill in this point in time. Notice anything?)

"I'm still comparing your past to my future,"

Reference to future-seeing powers by both Clearsight and Darkstalker

"It might be your wound but they're my sutures,"

The one and only line that means relatively nothing, except that you could make the connection that this is Clearsight talking to Darkstalker now about why he shouldn't publicly punish Arctic.

"(Ooh)

I am the sand in the bottom half of the hourglass (glass, glass)

(Ooh)

I try to picture me without you but I can't"

The are the same lines as before, but now they mean something like "It's ok, Clearsight, I know what I'm doing. Killing Arctic is ok. Just remember I love you and I'm really nice and charismatic, and you know, I just rolled a nat 20 plus my modifier of 10 on my persuasion check, so you should really listen to what I'm saying to you right now, I'm definitely not lying, no, not me, never......"

A/N: Alright, what'd you guys think of the book so far? Was this chapter any good? Should I do another theme song chapter? A theory chapter?
