The Survey Corps, or rather the remainder of it sat on top of the wall. An unconscious Armin and unconscious Sasha rested on a blanket and their capes as a pillow. You sat on the ledge, staring at the grassy field infront of tainted with the blood of your comrades. Hundreds of bodies just laying there, their bashed in faces and severed limbs spread across.

Reiner and the Beast Titan got away, aswell as the other titan who seemed to be carrying their luggage. Not only did you lose Bertholdt, but you lost almost all your comrades. You paid a big price to take back Shiganshina so they could go to Dr. Jaeger basement that supposedly held the secrets of the titans.

Armin woke up, slowly sitting up. He seemed to be staring into the sky, like he saw something. What he saw confused him, It was the Colossus Titan. Half-skin and half-bone, its eyes staring into him with tears in them. "It hurts.. it hurts." was he heard.

"Bertholdt?" he called out, he looked beside him to see an injured Sasha. Coughing and crying, "It hurts." she whispered out. Armin lifts her blanket a bit to inspect her injuries.

"These are serious injuries! How did you.." he stopped when he heard footsteps. You and Eren were making your way to the injured soldiers, "Eren, what's-" he was interrupted when Eren hugged him and started crying.

"Welcome back.." he cried out, you kneeled beside Sasha to tend to her wounds. Captain Levi climbs up the roof and notices the two boys, "So he's up." he says in his usual monotone voice, his eyes linger to you with a sorrowful look that was barely noticeable by Eren and Armin.

"What's going on? I don't remember any of this happening." Armin asks, "Doubt you would." Levi says and crosses his arms.

Levi launches a flare, glaring at Eren before speaking, "Eren, tell him, And don't hold anything back."

Eren then explains everything to Armin, your friends make their way to you. A worried Connie looks at Sasha, immediately going to her and checking if she's okay. Mikasa and Eren kneeled beside Armin, Jean was beside Connie, Hanji stood near Levi and you were behind Jean. Sitting there quietly with an emotionless stare, "You're telling me that the Survey Corps is now just the ten of us here?" Armin asks.

"For now, yes. It's been four hours since the battle ended.. we spent it all looking for survivors, but found none." Jean says, seated on a bag holding a canteen of water. Connie gently lifted Sasha's head up to give her water.

"So, the gate to Shiganshina is sealed. You assume Reiner, the Beast titan, and one other have fled." Armin speaks, "You successfully captured Bertholdt." the mention of his name breaks your heart, tears falling onto the ground. You quickly wipe it so that no one would notice, you didn't want any attention on you so you could focus on what was more important at the moment.

"I turned into a titan..and ate Bertholdt." he looked as if he was gonna vomit, quickly drinking water and continuing. "Why did you choose me? Wouldn't anyone look at the situation and decide to bring Commander Erwin back to life?" he asks, looking at Levi.

"Captain, why did you give me the injection?" Levi clicks his tongue, kicking Eren. "I said tell him everything." Eren and Mikasa remain silent, Levi then speaks instead. "You should know your two friends didn't see things that way. They actually went after me with their blades." Armin gives a confused look.
