Beyond The Walls // Attack On Titan

𝗒𝗈𝗎𝗋 𝖼𝗈𝗇𝖿𝖾𝗌𝗌𝗂𝗈𝗇

The thumping in your heart only seemed to worsen whenever you saw Zeke, he had a cleaner look versus when he first came back from Paradis Island. He has his usual white button-up, loose pants, combat boots, and a coat with his circular rimmed glasses sitting nicely on his nose bridge.

Everyone was wearing their usual clothing with their required armbands, ready to start the day in the festival with all sorts of things from outside the intermittent zone. Your hair styled to your liking, a plain (F/C) dress that reached until your knees with a nice pair of shoes pairing nicely. You tugged on Reiner's arm in an effort to drag him to one of the stalls with the younger warrior candidates following with food in their hands.

"Reiner, I wanna try the ice cream!" you tugged on his arm, he sighed in defeat and let you drag him to the stall selling ice cream. You asked for 2 cones and handed one to Reiner, thanking the seller.

"Consider this a treat, we haven't exactly caught up with each other since you came back." you smiled, licking the cold delicacy happily. He tasted the ice cream, giving a small smile.

"This is good, they didn't have anything like this on Paradis Island." he tells you, you lick it once again. "You never told me much about it, were they really devils as you say they are?" you ask him.

"They're devils, absolute devils." he replies, putting a hand on your shoulder. Sighing, you nod and continue eating your treat. Reiner ended up having to drag Gabi around because she complained that her stomach hurt so much, he scolded her for eating too much and for being such a glutton.

As you and the others spent your day outside, the sun starts setting signalling that you had to gather for the main event. Flaco ran up to you and Reiner, talking about how he has to show him something important. Reiner looked back at you and you moved your hand in a gesture to go, "Go ahead, i'll stay with the others. Ain't that right, Pock?" you smile, wrapping an arm around his shoulder and ruffling his hair.

The two run off to a building, disappearing from your view. As you were about to sit down with the other warriors and warrior candidates, Zeke approached you.

"Can we talk? There's still time before the curtain rises." he asks, bringing his watch up and glancing at the time.

"Captain?" he starts walking, grabbing your wrist and pulling you away from the crowd. You swear you saw Porco giving Zeke an all-knowing look before directing his attention back to the stage.

You two ended up near the pier, you stared into the ocean and spotted a small fishing boat with a man covered in a cloak. Curiosity got the best of you and you were about to inspect the peculiar fishing boat, Zeke spoke and stopped you from doing so.

"(Y/N), what do you think of me?" he asks, looking at you. Your eyes widen and a lump forms in your throat, "I'm sorry, what?"

"What am I to you?" he asks again, his tone calm and quiet.

"You are someone i look up to, sir. You do posses one of the most powerful titans after all, not only that but you have the title of 'Boy Wonder'. Although i find it off that you would ask me this question."

"Not in that way, (Y/N). You know which way i mean, i heard you talking to Porco."

You started to stutter nervously, taking a step back. "S-sir, i know it's against the r-rules i'm sorry!"

Zeke laughs, clutching his stomach and bending down slightly. You look at him in confusion and concern, 'Am i gonna die?'

"I'm sorry for laughing but I find it adorable that you're so worried about that, i won't get you in trouble. I actually called you here to tell you the same thing, i've developed a liking towards you too." he smiles warmly, giving a hint of reassurance.

"Sir, this isn't a t-trap right?" you grip the hem of your dress tightly, he shakes his head.

"No, now let's go back and call me Zeke. Calling me sir makes me feel older than i already am." he grabs your hand and tugs you along, bringing you back to the others to watch the show. The show that started all this chaos ending in war.

"Fuck!" you yelled, falling out of Pieck's mouth and into the water. Groaning, you sat up and wronged your hair of any excess water.

"Don't drop me next time, Pieck. I had a heart attack."

You looked over to see Annie, Commander Magath, Reiner, Falco, and Gabi. They were with the soldiers from Paradis island as well as Yelena and Onyankopon. You were all huddled around a pot of stew being made by Commander Hanji,

"I understand exactly how you feel." Annie says to Mikasa who was angrily making her way over to her and readying her blades.

"I only have one reason to stop Eren, i don't want my father in Marley to die. That's why I need your help. If you can convince Eren to stop, then fine." she puts a hand out as a gesture to stop Mikasa from coming any closer.

"At the very least, we shouldn't fight when it comes down to that." she tells Mikasa who replies with an, "Okay."

"Alright, stew's ready. Eat up!" Hanji calls, as everyone ate they continued discussing. You stared at the bowl in your hands, quietly eating and leaving yourself with your thoughts.

You were beyond worried about Zeke, especially the situation now and his true intentions. What would be the fate of humanity now? What is Eren's plan with the Founding Titan?

As fight broke out, you could only watch Jean beat Reiner up while Connie and Armin tried holding him back with Mikasa helping in. Gabi used herself as a shield for Reiner and Falco quickly went over to her.

Jean ran off and sooner or later everyone fell asleep, Reiner tucked in while he was healing and Gabi and Falco sleeping beside each other. You on the other hand couldn't sleep, so you sat there against a tree and stared at the sky.

As morning came, everyone got ready and left to go to the harbour. Pieck came back alerting that the Yeagerists had captured the harbour along with the Azumabito Family. You couldn't help since you weren't familiar with their gear and you didn't posses any titan.

So you stayed with Falco, Gabi, and Levi. The kids had to be safe and Levi was still injured. You armed yourself with a shotgun and a knife in case any Yeagerists came along to your hiding spot.

"I'm sorry i can't be of help." you apologised to Captain Magath and Commander Hanji with a bow.

"It's okay, just stay here with them and keep them safe." Commander Hanji tells you, "Thank you, Commander."

You sighed and slumped in the cart, holding the shotgun firmly. You let out a loud exhale and cursed to yourself, "I'm not getting paid enough for this shit."
