Chapter 24 - DEATH MARKS

I kept looking and avoiding Taehyung's gaze. Silence roaming around the car is so loud. I looked at Namjoon through rear mirror and saw him sleeping. "Say something" Taehyung cannot take it anymore and broke the silence

"I-I don't know.." I replied still uneasy. Did he just kissed me in front of Namjoon and proved that he can protect me from both sides. My heart fell on the ground "What I said is real wether you believe it or not" He said and silence swallowed us again

"We're here" A deep newly woke up person said and I quickly search for Jungkook's presence. Namjoon hurriedly went down from back seat and run towards the house. Taehyung removed the keys and followed Namjoon and so did I. "Wait!!" I shouted while running "Faster Jinrin! Come" Taehyung said and grabbed my arms

"I will search for Jin hyung and Hoseok bringing them together with Jimin and Yoongi. We need to gather them all. No one should stay here except the three of you" Namjoon ordered and we quickly agreed. "Let's find Jungkook then" Taehyung added and smirked

Namjoon ran towards upstairs and hurriedly find the two guys. We heard he finally got them and carefully guiding outside the house but Jungkook is still not here. "I know where he is" Taehyung spoke and grab me to the back door

"Swimming Pool" I said when we arrived at the area and there is Jungkook sitting in the corner with bottles of sojus and letting his feet touched the cold waters. "You tricked me!" I shouted running towards him but Taehyung quickly stopped me by grabbing my arm

"He is not the Jungkook you knew. Be careful" He warned me and I can see his dark orb eyes getting darker while staring at Jungkook who is smirking at him. "I knew you two will come at me" Jungkook said getting up from sitting

"You want these right?" He asked and smirked. Soon Jungkook dropped the cards on the pool letting it swallowed by water. My fists crumpled and before I dive in Taehyung quickly ran and dive to the pool. "Wait! You fear water!!" I shouted but too late to say

"Hahaha! He is ready to die for you Jinri" Jungkook laughed in front of my face. I slapped him but his lips turned to smirked. I'm about to slap him again but this time he quickly stopped me and grab my arm "Give me the Queen Card" He ordered but refused it by kicking him

"You have no power over me Jinri" Jungkook said and pulled my waist closer to him. I felt his palm tracing my butt and I saw his reaction when he realized the Queen Card is not on my back pocket. "Old moves die" I said in front of his face but innocence of him locked my eyes

"So new moves lives?" He said while slowly moving his palm from my back upward to my chest. When he is about to reach my breast and felt the card, two paired of strong arms grabbed him out from me. The Queen Card fell and we both quickly bend to get it

We both froze when we saw a blood dropped to the card. It came from Jungkook's arm. I froze seeing his blood continue to drip I gathered all my strength to lift my head and see what happened "I told you I can kill to protect you" Taehyung said from behind holding a bottle of soju

Jungkook fell on the ground with bleeding head. I quickly catch him and shake to wake him up. His eyes opened and this time the dark orb eyes turned to light brown. He tried to smile but failed as he felt pain from his head. I looked back at Taehyung who nervously standing in front of us

His dark orb eyes turned to light brown too. The two of them brought their old one after what happened. I quickly searched the Queen Card and it was layered with Jack Card and others card who soaked on water I saw it lying on the floor near me. I hurriedly grab them and saw blood all over the card. From it's clean beauty it became bloodlust

"Jinri!!!" I heard someone calling me but why I felt like darkness swallowing me. My eyes locked at the Queen Card who covered in blood. My breathes are getting heavy and I can feel my chest lacking some air. I looked up and saw red stains all over the area even the pool water turned to blood.

Is this what darkness turned me? A Bloodlust

I grab all the cards and looked at the Jack. The marks left on it was also a blood. It matches the Queen. Now I know why Taehyung didn't let me see it.
