Chapter 27 - CARD BREAKER

3 years after...

"Yah! Kim Taehyung!! I shouted trying to grab him from running with my strawberry shortcakes. "Don't eat it all! Give some to others!!" I shouted again echoing it to whole house

After that day, everyone on that dining table introduced theirselves to me and said that they are all my brothers not by blood but by heart. The woman I adored is the loving wife of Jin hyung, Kim Rina and their two kids

Yoongi and I are baking for Christmas Eve. My brother whose helping us to decorate the pastries and Rina unnie with Jin hyung arranging the christmas lights. Jungkook and Hoseok are sitting on the sofa playing with Jiro and Ria and Namjoon who is checking the sound system

I ran after Taehyung as he stole the shortcake. He is courting me consistently after that dinner. I knew in my heart I loved him but I still want to know what happened before that day. He ate it all and hid behind Jin hyung "Don't use Jin hyung to protect you!!" I shouted and ran towards him

They are all laughing as we ran around like kids. We are more like childish rather than Jiro and Ria. I gave up and rolled my eyes to Taehyung. He chuckled and steal a kiss from my cheeks. "Yah! A thief!" I protested and he just laughed hard

I leave them doing their jobs and headed straight to a room where my christmas dress were located. It was tubed dark green silk short dress perfectly curved for my waist up to my chest. I wore it together with a heart gold necklace that Jungkook gave me on the dinner night

"You will always be at my heart" He said those words after he gave it to me

I came back and saw a finished Christmas set up. All of them are dressed up and I quickly looked at Taehyung. He's wearing a white polo shirt tucked with his knee shorts and he wore a green socks that paired my dress. How funny he is

I smiled stepping down and Taehyung reached for my hands. We started the Christmas Eve party by banging loud sounds from stereo that Namjoon arranged. Laughing and dancing around filled the whole house. I saw Jungkook and Taehyung dancing with Jiro and Ria

Yoongi who is playfully came with a spatula and waved in front of us. We laughed as he looked like a Christmas Chef. Hoseok came bringing some gift boxes and threw it in the middle. "Find yours now!" He shouted and everyone came searching for their gifts

We planned to get a gift whether meaningful or foolish and Hoseok carefully named the boxes. We finally get our own gifts with our names on it. Mine was rapped it blue silk gif wrapper with white ribbon. Hoseok counted to three as we all together unwrap the gifts

"Three.. Two.. One.. Open it!!" As soon as we heard his voice we all hurriedly opened the boxes. I heard laughters and disappointments from them. Jin hyung laughed at what he got. He's holding a paper of plane ticket and a letter saying "Have another honeymoon and make a little baby number three!"

We all laughed and hurriedly looked at Rina unnie who is holding a night daring red sleep gown. Like it was planned to connect their gifts as husband and wife. They quickly hid it from their children where Jiro and Ria happily holding their new learning books

Hoseok received small rattan bag from Malta and he was so happy to have it. Namjoon got a passport holder and it has some engraved notes on it "Don't lose me again"  We laughed so hard after he read it. He always lost his passport and didn't have a chance to continue the trip with us

Yoongi gifted a trophy molded in frying pan and it says "Best Chef in Town" He smiled while reading the note and we agreed that he is the best one. We looked at Jungkook who is happily smirking on what he got. A brand new PSP4. What a spoiled teenager

They had their gifts and patiently waiting for Taehyung to show what he got. A snow globe with mini deck of cards inside. They all got silent and looking to the gift "Hey! I like it" Taehyung said and quickly looked at me and winked 

How did he knew it was from me?

"Come on Jinri show us what you got" Taehyung asked and I showed them a clear jar with ashes. "That's your old memories" He added and looked straight in my eyes

"The cards you burnt we collected it and put in a jar in remembrance of your memories and sacrifices" Namjoon said that made the whole house silence. I deeply looked at the ashes and tried to remember a blurred scene
