Chapter 12: Rekka

Company 1

No POV:

We see Y/N with Shinra and Arthur standing in front of a door. That door goes to the room of Karim Flam the one they believe to be responsible for using insects to turn people into infernals. They came to this conclusion after seeing someone with the robes of a commanding officer with the jar that contained the insect.

The two came to Y/N who agreed that it would be best to go forward the investigator and check out Karim's room. They had Juggernaut keep Karim busy while they investigated the room.

Shinra tries to melt the door handle to get inside but Y/N stops him. "Don't you'll let him see that someone broke in" Y/N tells him. "Here let me try" Arthur says stepping forward to the door. Arthur then pulls a small plastic handle similar to his excalibur's handle. Arthur called it his "mini excalibur" he also pulled his shirt above his mouth and said that he wasn't a knight he was a ninja knight now.

Y/N sighed at the stupidity of what Arthur had said. Arthur then created a miniature plasma blade and used it to open the door by sticking it inside where the lock was. He went up and down with it before the door opened. The plastic handle melted very quickly as Arthur threw it away. "Sadly those small handles don't hold up like the real excalibur" Arthur said.

With the door open now the three of them enter the room and begin to look around for anything that would prove Karim was behind the insects. After finding nothing the look at the dresser in the room. Y/N tried to pull out one of the shelves but it was locked. Arthur then did the same thing to the shelve as he did with the door.

The dresser shelve unlocked and Y/N opened it. Inside they found a small class vial with one of the infernal insects inside. "He is the one" Shinra says "I can't believe it" Arthur says. Y/N looks at the dead bug in the jar and begins to think. "No he isn't the one" Y/N tells them. "Wait what do you mean?" Shinra and Arthur ask. "Simple he is not the one behind the bugs" Y/N answers.

Suddenly they here someone coming and instantly they try to hide but to no avail. Karim finds them and begins to question them. Shinra and Arthur are worried about their cover being blown while Y/N remains calm through it all.

Then to all of their suprise Karim revealed to them he placed the insect there after the behavior they showed back in the alley. Y/N said that he had a feeling that it was a set up the whole time as Karim was not that stupid to hide evidence like that. Karim congratulates Y/N for being so smart to which Y/N says "I may be classified as a rookie but it doesn't mean that I am one".

Karim reveals that he like the 8th is also investigating the bugs. He summarizes to them that he believes Rekka to be the one behind the insects. Karim then tells them of an incident two months prior where a group of children were burned alive in some unnatural incident. Hearing that makes Y/N think back to what happened to Hibana while also what happened to Shinra when he was younger.

Karim states that it was there where that incident happened he found the dead insect. Karim still couldn't get over the fact that his best friend was responsible for it. Y/N puts his hands on his shoulder and looks at him. "Do not let that bother you we must stop him and make sure he doesn't continue doing this to people" he tells him.

Abandoned Wearhouse

Meanwhile, Rekka manipulates Tamaki into rounding up a group of young children in a secluded area. He claims he's found a sacred prayer that will prevent them all from ever turning into infernals. He's made sure that they've kept this meeting a secret and asks Tamaki to step outside so he can be alone for the prayer.
