Chapter 19: Asakusa In Flames

Company 7 Guard House

Y/N POV:

Once things started to calm down and the fighting was over we all returned back to the company 7 guard house. We discuss what happened and how Benimaru must of seen someone else disguised as chief. That's when I realized that the chief Shinra and I talked to must of not been the real one. I mentally face palmed how could I of not seen it. Well now I was going to be ready in case I see another doppelganger. Benimaru only grew more frustrated and restless just being here. He decided that it would be best for him to leave and investigate what was going on here.

Once Benimaru left Konroe explained to us how he got his burns. Apparently before they became company 7 infernals began to attack the town. Both of them did their best and managed to defeat the infernals. Then suddenly a different one showed up it wasn't like any infernal they had seen before. It was larger and had horns on its head it looked like a demon. I knew what it was I read about them back at the church. Apparently Konroe pushed Benimaru out of the way and fought the infernal even going past his limit. Because of that he beat the infernal but began to burn in the process.

"It was an oni" I said speaking up "what did you say it was?" Konroe asked me. "What you fought that day was an oni, a demon of old that would cause great destruction" I answered. "How do you know this?" Konroe asked I lifted up my arm and showed him my mark. "I come from a very special group where we have all of the knowledge from the old world" I answered. The others were confused by this "I didn't think anything survived after the world burned" Shinra said. "The materials may of been burned but the knowledge was not" I answered.

"As I was saying the next day company 4 came and inducted both Benimaru and I into company 7 and to be honest I don't have any regrets about it" Konroe said. "I want to be a hero so no one else has to be sacrificed" Shinra said. Suddenly we here a commotion coming from outside. All of us rush out to see what is going on what we find is Hinata and Hikage arguing whoever is real. "Who do you think is the real one?" Konroe asked.

I used my powers to see which one was the fake what I found was a strong heat source coming from Hikage. I point at her and Arthur rushes in kneeing her in the face. The others were stunned before she transformed into an old man. In a panic the old man tries to escape but I activate my lava powers and trap him in a caccoon. "Your not going anywhere, we have some questions" I asked forming lava claws. The old man gulped in fear of what was to come.

Time Skip

It didn't take long for massive fires to erupt all over the city. We didn't have much time to interrogate the old man. From what he told us the White-Clads were using pyrokinesis to alter the blood vessels in people's faces. We now needed a plan to stop them while also stopping the fires.

Before we were able to do anything about them fire arrows began to rain down on us. "Everyone get close to me" I say as the do my eyes turn red as I take a deep breath in. Suddenly I eat all of the flame arrows saving everyone "those were disgusting" I say wiping my mouth. "What do we do about those?" Shinra asked "you, Arthur and I need to deal with that sniper" I answered. "What about us?" Maki asked "Maki I need you to help put out the fires remember let Benimaru be the one to put any infernals to rest" I answered.

I looked over to Konroe and Hinata "see if you can get any more information out of that crap sack" I tell them. "You can count on us" Konroe says bowing to me. "Alright everyone let's save Asakusa" I say before flying into the air. Shinra took off behind me with Arthur but before we could do anything more arrows came at us from all over. I put up a barrier of flames around us keeping us three safe from the flame arrows. "Which way do we go?" Shinra asked "we need to find that sniper" Arthur said.
