The morning was forced upon me by the giggling of Slytherin girls running out of the room, playing around. I was planning on sleeping in, but they had other plans of rudely waking me up.

I yawned rubbing at my eyes hoping it would help wake me up and be ready for my first day at Hogwarts. It didn't. I was still tired and grumpy.

I groped beside my bed grabbing ahold of my wand tucking it into the waistband of my pants. I swung my legs around the bed grabbing the essentials to my uniform and I quickly changed into my uniform before the other girls returned into the room, or any of the sleeping girls woke up and saw me nude, although there was nothing to show. I had barely developed breasts in fact, I hadn't even started my period.

I threw the dirty pajamas into the large hamper labeled DIRTY. I didn't know how the house-elves would be able to return the clothes to me, or how they did not get them mixed up for that matter. Nonetheless, I did not question it. Anything was possible with magic.

I tucked my wand into my robes while slipping on the required shoes that must be worn with the uniform. I wanted to get to the Great Hall a little early to examine my schedule, but I was taking at least five minutes trying to push my feet through the small shoes. Rosalie had much smaller feet than me.

I walked out of the dungeons and through the Hogwarts hallways and towards the Grand Hall, making sure to take in the scenery around me. I bet there were hundreds of secret rooms in the castle. I knew for a fact I would spend some of my seven years searching for them.

"Myra!" A voice called from behind me. I stopped, about to turn around when I realized the voice belonged to Clarisse. I thought she would quit bothering me after she was sorted into a different house.

"Hello Clarisse," I said continuing to walk towards the Great Hall. I was ready for classes more than anything. I wanted to learn how to use magic and quite frankly prove myself superior to most everyone around me.

"Congratulations on Slytherin! It's a lot different from Hufflepuff. Speaking of Hufflepuff, the common room is just beautiful. There are plants everywhere and everyone is just so nice!" Clarisse exclaimed. I thought she might pass out from not breathing as she spoke quickly and excitedly.

"Curious," I said, not wanting to continue the conversation any further.

Clarisse smiled lightly looking at her feet as we walked. She seemed to be trying to walk without stepping out of the tiles on the floor.

Once we reached the Great Hall she spoke up once again, "Well I'm going to go get my schedule. I'll come to ask you about your classes once I get it."

I forced the corners of my lips upwards looking at her. "Looking forward to it," I said under my breath sarcastically as she skipped over to the Hufflepuff table sitting beside the other Hufflepuffs. I did not think I and Clarisse were going to have a good friendship if we became friends at all. It was obvious she was trying but she was so different from me, there was no way that kind of friendship would ever work out.

I walked over to the Slytherin table sitting down a few inches away from some fellow Slytherins who chatted away as if there was no tomorrow. I grabbed a few pieces of toast and some eggs to fill my stomach before lunch.

There were fewer people in the Great Hall than there was last night, I assumed most everyone preferred sleeping instead of eating. I personally did, but the obnoxious girls in my dormitory had caused me to wake up.

"Myra Rafferty," A voice said from behind me examining the stack of papers in his hand. I turned around to see Ash sorting through the papers frantically looking for something specific. "Alas!"
