crypto sat there, lost in his own thoughts. he couldn't focus on anything at the moment. just the silence that filled the room that he was in. he lost track of time the longer he sat there. his mind would wander to possible things or people that he knew. but one person would still somehow get to his mind no matter how he tried to stop.

the mysterious legend, sparky. they would somehow pop into his mind no matter what. there was something about them that he couldn't just shake off. he would just think if memories that they had together, since they spend a lot of time with one another since he joined the games. though sparky was still a bit cold towards everyone, they were able to approach crypto and at least try to talk to him.

in the end, sparky ended up becoming somewhat friends with crypto. though it counts as sparky annoying crypto for days on end. though there was some days were sparky was quiet, it didn't stop them from actually doing something that bothers crypto. at first, crypto disliked sparky by then.

"shut up already." crypto glares at sparky, an annoyed look on his face.

"hmm.. how about no!" sparky sends a smile towards crypto, sticking their tongue out at him playfully.

whenever they were placed on the same team, whether it would be duo's or trio's, sparky and crypto would constantly be at each other's throats. the fans would be confused even if they were friends. even the legends were confused by then. but slowly, there would be some matches were they were both being civil with one another.

that's when crypto would start noticing little things that sparky would do. how they nervously fiddle with their wristbands whenever they are in the top five, how focus they can be whenever using a sniper rifle in a fight. by the matches and days go by, the fighting occurred less and they became close to one another. by then, crypto had neutral feelings about sparky.

"not our best.. but not our worst.." sparky shrugs, seeing that the both of them where littered with cuts and bruises.

"could've been better.." crypto seemed a bit annoyed, looking over the marks on sparky. 

there was a moment that one of the legends noticed the changes in their relationship. she noticed how protective crypto would become of sparky whenever they were in a fight with another squad, specially if they were downed or in a one on one with a member from the squad. she mentioned to herself and probably to crypto a memory that occurred in world's edge. when sparky and revenant had a fight with one another.

a frag grenade had went off right before them. it blasted them both off the ground level. due to them being close to the edge, they were desperate for something to grab so they wouldn't fall into the burning lava below them. sparky didn't fall too far down, but was still holding onto the cliff. revenant was nowhere to be seen. crypto wasn't aware that revenant fell with them. crypto looked down at his map, seeing that sparky was close to falling to their death. in a rush, he quickly killed off one of the squad members and immediately went over to where sparky was. 

sparky was struggling to get back up, slowly making their way back up to ground level. crypto called out to them with a bit of panic in his voice. it was somewhat hidden but sparky couldn't tell. sparky was halfway up from the cliff, not fully over. crypto grabbed a hold of them, helping them over it. before they could say anything, sparky was dragged back down while holding onto crypto. he kept his ground, a tight grip around their arm. he glances down to whatever could've caused them to fall. he growls under his breath as he saw revenant clinging onto their ankle, trying to bring them down with him, he had assumed.

sparky threw down an arc star at revenant, knocking him off from sparky. revanant had lost his grip and fell. but before he could, he had laid a cut onto sparky's leg, causing it to rip and bleed. crypto brought them over the edge, checking over the cuts that were placed onto their leg.

"i'm fine, crypto i just need to heal.." sparky mutters as they try their best to at least sit up.

he rolls his eyes, not believing what they were saying. "idiot, stop moving and let me do this for you."

before sparky could say anything, crypto carefully picked them up. slipping his arms behind their back and underneath their arms, he lifted them up with ease. sparky was smaller than most legends, mainly around the same size as wraith. crypto didn't have any problem carrying them somewhere safe to their other teammate.

crypto realized sooner or later about his feelings towards sparky. no matter how hard he would try to push these feelings away, it would always hit him back ten times harder. he would do little things that he normally wouldn't do with any other legends. always wanting to be around them, having playful fights with them. he was somewhat afraid of being close to sparky. he was afraid to lose someone else after being framed. framed for something he didn't do. sparky would always find a way to him, helping him out with whatever he needs.

by then, he let himself be for the time being. he would be teased by a few legends about this supposed crush that he had on sparky. he would brush them off and ignore them about whatever they would say. he would still keep his cool, cold demear around everyone else, but soon after he would somewhat loose it if sparky was anywhere in the area. by then, crypto had liked sparky.

"hey taejoon, can i hang out for a while?" sparky looked up at crypto, nervously fiddling with the wristband.

"yeah sure, i guess.." crypto averted his eyes somewhere else, avoiding eye contact with them.

crypto sighs deeply, closing his eyes slowly. the comfortable silence that he was stuck in was broken by sudden movement, making him tiredly look towards the source. a familiar person who he had held in his arms for a good few hours finally was moving once again, since they had fell asleep. crypto gently played around with their hair, smiling softly as they open their eyes slowly.

they yawn, grumbling something tiredly under their breath as they rest their head back down onto his chest. crypto shook his head slightly.

"천사.. wake up.." crypto whispers lowly, attempting to at least wake up sparky.

"..hm.." sparky doesn't answer, sitting up a bit.

sparky gotten up, letting crypto get up from where he was previously. he felt the warmth leave his body somewhat, seeing sparky look somewhere else tiredly. crypto moves himself over towards them, bringing them closer to him and wrapping his arms around them. sparky tiredly hugs him back, probably going to fall asleep in his arms once again. he closes his eyes, enjoying the hug while it lasted.

now, crypto had fallen for sparky
