winter.
winter rolled around again with jungkook's ribs nearly all healed up and taehyung feeling as good as new. taehyung was still cautious when it came to jungkook, escorting him almost everywhere and being very careful with him, especially his middle. jungkook didn't really mind being treated like glass. he liked that taehyung still cared about him after all these years.
"hyung, do you love me?" jungkook asked one night, because he'd connected a few more dots and he really wanted to make sure he'd gotten the right picture.
"of course." taehyung said.
"do you love me?" jungkook asked. "would you kiss me, hyung? would you have sex with me? is it that kind of love?"
"I love you in so many ways, jeon jungkook." taehyung whispered, and jungkook smiled; "good."
jungkook leaned forward, head brushing against the pillows, and kissed taehyung, soft and sweet and gentle. jungkook shivered somewhere in the middle of the kiss thanks to the winter winds seeping in through the window. taehyung, without pulling their lips apart, tugged the blanket up and tucked it all around jungkook's little body.
