Two years had passed since the kidnapping incident. Marami nang lumabas na idol group sa Pilipinas at talagang namamayagpag ang industriya sa bansa.

Sadly, THE DROPOUTS was nowhere to be found.

The incident took a toll on Dean's mental health. He got diagnosed with PTSD. He did not speak for almost a month. Ayaw ding lumabas dahil laging ninenerbiyos. And there were some nights na nagkakaroon ito ng night terror.

Naging dahilan iyon para ipadala ng muna si Dean sa Hawaii sa poder ng pinsan nito. Advice din kasi ng doktor na mas makabubuting lumayo muna ito sa limelight.

And the activities of THE DROPOUTS were halted indefinitely. Bukod kasi sa masyado silang dependent kay Dean, nawalan din ng gana ang mga natitirang miyembro.

Kaya naman nagkasundo silang magpahinga na lang muna sandali.

Ciel and Isaac went back to school. Dahil pareho silang completers na lang, isang semester lang sila nagtagal bago grumaduate. Then, they went back to showbiz.

Ciel found success at acting business. His first project after coming back was a thriller film. Gumanap itong police, at iniimbestigahan nito ang pagkamatay ng tatlong babaeng binansagang "Tres Marias". The film was a success. Umani pa iyon ng parangal sa Japan, at nakakuha si Ciel ng best actor na award.

Modelling at dancing naman ang main focus ni Isaac pero nagkaroon din ito ng ilang acting venture. Naging regular performer na nga ito sa isang Sunday noontime live show. Naging main cast din ito sa isang musical-themed na TV series, kung saan naging kapareha nito si Robin, na binansagang "King of BL TV Series" sa bansa.

Occassionally, Ciel and Isaac would perform together like the old times. Their latest one was a duet version of Mga Batang Yagit, where Ciel took the rap verses and Isaac assumed the main vocalist position. The fans loved it. At nag-trend pa overnight sa Twitter dahil humiling sila na ilabas na ang naudlot na debut album sana.

Ever since Dean went to Hawaii, wala nang balita ang lahat dito. Ilang beses natanong sina Isaac at Ciel tungkol sa leader nila. Parehong walang masagot, palibhasa'y kahit sila ay hindi rin alam kung anong ginagawa na nito.

Pero isang gabi, biglang niyanig ang Instagram ng isang balita tungkol kay Dean. After being dormant for almost two years, Dean suddenly posted a new picture of him enjoying the beautiful waves in Hawaii. Kahit sina Ciel at Isaac ay nagulat. Sabi nga nila, Dean looked healthier kumpara noong huli nilang nakita.

Three days later, nag-live naman ito para sa isang maikling Q&A session with fans.

"Magka-comeback pa ba ang THE DROPOUTS?" one fan asked.

Dean smiled. "Hindi pwedeng hindi. One of these days, babalik ako sa Pilipinas. Then, I'll gather all of them to make a comeback possible."

And the internet broke that night. Sobrang hyped lahat ng fans.
