As the train started slowing down, the girls went back to their compartment, in order to get their trunks.

The boys got off the train with their own trunks, only to be hit by the smell of trees, the food from the great hall and of course the smoke from the train. The smell that they all loved, because it could only mean one thing; they were back at Hogwarts. Suddenly someone called Remus' name from behind them and they all turned around.

It was Lily Evans. One of Remus' best friends. And even though they had been sitting in the same compartment the whole trainride, they hadn't really talked to each other yet, being way to busy talking about the awesome prank the girls had pulled.

Remus gave a warm kind of akward smile towards his friend as she was fighting to get to him through the crowd of people getting onto the platform. "Evans?" James didn't know that they were actually best friends and not just 'reading buddies' or whatever.

He decided that he would slowly start walking backwards when Lily had ignored him, obviously too busy trying to get to Remus. When she finally got through, she threw her arm around her friend as he took a step back to stop himself from falling. After she finally let go she streched out her arms, almost as long as they'd go, trying to get to his face. She cupped his face in her hands, and Remus noticed how close to crying she was.

"Hi Lily," Remus had tried to start a casual conversation as if Lily hadn't just stared at the huge crimson scar across his face whenever she thought he wasn't looking. "Oh don't you 'hi Lily' me!" Lily said, once again throwing her arm around him, this time, however, she put her arms around his neck, jumping to be able to do so as he was almost a foot taller than her.

When she had jumped back down, Remus could see that she was actually crying, but silently however, and you couldn't really see it unless you looked really closely at her face. However, he also noticed that almost everyone on the platform was staring. But not just at him and his great big scar, but at the both of them. This made Remus feel very uncomfortable. He didn't like being looked at by many people, but now considering that he was almost a head taller than everyone else in the school, and had a scar cutting his face in half. Lily - being one of his best friends - noticed this, and started walking, gesturing for him to do the same.

As they got to the carrages, there was only one of the other boys three boys there, standing to greet them and join them in a carrage. As Remus, Lily and Sirius found a carrage to get into, Remus found that Sirius was staring at the empty space where a horse would be to pull the carrage in the muggle word. "Sirius?" He jumped a little at the sound of Lily's voice, who had also noticed apparently. "Are you alright?"

"Oh...ehr, yeah, just...the carrages are being pulled by themselves aren't they?" "Of course they are, they always have been, right Lily?" Remus' slightly deeper voice than he had had last year chimed. "Well, no actually, it says in 'Hogwarts; a history' that they are being pulled by Hogwarts' thestrals. There was something in there about only someone seeing them, but I didn't get to finish the book before we left for the summer holidays. Maby I'll borrow it from the library this year and finish the book." Lily said.

"So what do they look like?" Remus continued. "Well apparently, they look almost like the skeleton of a black horse, with-" "huge black wings?" Sirius had cut her off. "Exactly! So you can see them? How long have you been able to?" "Well this is the first time I've ever seen it so I guess since the summer." "Wish I could see them." Remus had finally decided to go back into the conversation. "Yeah me too," Lily had agreed.

"Hey, where's prongs and wormtail anyways?" Remus found himself wondering as there impresence had suddenly washed over Remus. "Oh, yeah. He was looking really mad as he was storming away from the platform. Saying things about you being a traitor and stuff." Sirius said with a guilty look on his face. Remus, however, knew better than to ignore Sirius' look. "What did you do Sirius?" Remus asked almost an annoyed tone, as he was way to used to sirius' behavior. "Well, I was just joking of course. But I might have said that there was something romantic with you guys' hug..." sirius was turning slightly pink and looking down at his shoes.

"What?!" Both Lily and Remus had said in unison. "Well, as I said, it was just a joke, but you know James, being overdramatic, thought I was being sincere, and I think we all know his feelings for Lily." He was back to his normall pale face now, trying very hard to keep a smirk off his face, however not quite succeeding.
"Why would you do that? He probably hates me now you dickhead." Remus said even more annoyed than he had been at the beginning. "Well, I don't know, it was quite a hug guys were having over there." He tilded his head the back towards the road they had come. "I mean, it almost looked like you guys would have hooked up if it hadn't been for everyone else being there." Sirius said, having totally given up on trying to hide his smirk.

Lily looked very shocked, while also very disappointed at Sirius at the same time. Remus simply groaned and put his face in his hands. "Are you kidding me Sirius? Can't two friends give each other a hug anymore?" Lily said, getting over her shocked look and now just looking really disappointed as they got off the carrage and was slowly walking up to the castle. "Well of course they can! But there was something a little more than platonic in that hug. And if  you're not sure about that, I can get a few witnesses as the hole school watched you guys." "Oh, I'm very sorry, I didn't know that if you were very happy about your best friend not dying seeing as he is werewolf and you hadn't seen him for the past three full moons, and the first time he didn't have his whole face behind a book you could see how huge the crimson scar on his face actually was, meant that you are shagging!" "Lily!" Remus looked stunned by the long rant, and the fact that she was almost shouting the last part. "Lower your voice. Please."

-

"Oh please James will you just let it go?" "Oh you would just love to get away with it wouldn't you?" Remus lowered his voice, "she was happy because I hadn't died!" "Oh well so am I, it doesn't mean I have to jump on top of you smothering you in my happiness." "That's not what happened!" "Oh please, I saw it. And it wasn't just her, You looked quite like you could've just shagged her right there and then!" "Oh my god!" Remus put his head in his hands and groaned again.

"Oh come on you guys, when are you going to stop?" Sirius had suddenly decided to be a part of the conversation, and not just sit besides them, looking at the fight. "When he admits that he loves Evans!" James said with a stubborn look on his face. "I am not In love with Lily!" Remus exclaimed, pulling his head back out from his hands. Sirius suddenly got an idea of making his friend as red as a tomato.

"Hey Lily," he turned around looking at the girl who was sat on the bench right beside him, now looking away from her friends and back at him. "Can you tell James to stop being such a dick head about 'the hug'? Apparently it wasn't platonic enough for him to not be mad at Remus." Lily finally turned to James and looked him straight in the eyes.

"That hug was first of all; none of your business. Second of all; 100% platonic. Third of all; me and Remus are best friends, I don't hear from him for two months seeing as his owl just died, and then he comes back with that-" she had lowered har voice while mentioning the scar and was gesturing to Remus' face "-on his face. And fourth of all I am not interested in dating you, so this shouldn't even bother you, however I am not interested in dating Remus either so stop being a dick for him having other best friends outside of your dormitory!"

She turned back to her friends who had been hyping her up through her whole speach, and were now giving her an applause for it. She looked very triumphant with the look she had put on James' face.

"You guys are best friends?" James found himself asking, looking rather ashamed of having thought there was something more than platonic feelings between the two of them. "Well, yeah." "I-I'm sorry." James said. "It's fine."

And after that, they pretty much were. They all ate their dinner, talking about their summer. What they couldn't really grasp in all of this talking about the holidays, was the fact that on the other three tables, and the other end of the Griffindoor table, as they were all seated at one of the ends, was the fact that Hogwarts really was the quickest place for a roumor to spread, and also become very much twisted.

Hey, even though there are probably no one reading this, I'm going to keep writing because it's fun.

And if anyone is reading this, then I hope you liked the chapter!
