DEAFENING SILENCE can be heard accross the large canteen hall of the prestigious academy. After the loud confession, people as if instinct turned their heads to the culprit.
"Ah, it's a freshman. What a waste, she should've confessed on anyday but first day." Jennie stated.
The young noble next to her, still unaware why the canteen was so quiet, furrowed her flawless natural brows.
"I like you a lot, Prince V!" The girl who caused a scene continued.
Sooyoung couldn't see who the girl or who she was confessing to, just listening their conversation—which thanks to the silence of the students, loud and clear. The new noble scoffed inwardly as she heard the admired response,
He laughed, freaking laughed.
"Honey, everybody likes me," The man said cockily.
The young lady who was seated in the comfort of her chair, caught a glimpse of the girl who admitted her feelings and was disheartened as she saw her face fall upon the prince's words.
"N-no! I actually like you, I've actually
—"
Her words were cut off by the harsh voice of the prince,
"Well, I don't." He said nonchalantly and walked off while yawning, unbothered by the loud whispers that was surfacing.
"Who does she think she is? Confessing to the most powerful noble?"
"That bitch, did she really think my Prince V would accept?"
Sooyoung couldn't believe what she had witnessed, it was like they were hazing the poor freshman as multiple nobles and elites pour their drinks over her. Having lost her appetite, Joy stood up from her chair and decided to go to her locker after informing her brother,
She roamed around the wide halls of the academy, still in awe of the unreal size of the school. Joy smiled as she saw a peek of the garden, noting mentally to check it out later. As she got closer to the lockers, she felt her arm being pulled and her body trapped by a tall figure.
Why does this always happen to me?
"We got to stop meeting like this, doll."
Sooyoung froze, had she heard that voice somewhere?
Due to nervousness Joy had kept her eyes on the ground, both arms at her sides,
"Look, I don't even know you," She reasoned out.
"I'm sure you've heard that loud confession for me at the cafeteria,"
She froze once again, but this time Joy was filled with anger,
This is the jerk that poor girl got bullied for?
Scolding the boy infront of her ran through her mind but had escaped her entire brain when she looked up,
"Y-you," Sooyoung said, trying to gain her composure.
He flashed a smile with his blinding white teeth. Sooyoung, with her eyes squinted, punched his shoulder.
