Chapter 102: Border Town

[Near The Empire's Border]

Inspite all efforts that the co. Had dealt at the Stone serpent, the latter doesn't seemed to give up just yet as it crawled out from the destructive site

"Hahahaha! This damn snake is a bug right?" Asks Alda as he casually laughed at the impossible scene that is happening

"Don't let your guard down!!! This only shows how strong is that monster is" reminded Luke as he raise his shield to his eye level

Hearing Luke's reminder the other guys nearby puts their guard up as they observed the Stone's Snake next move

As the Stone Snake hissed in anger, a huge light wave slash suddenly assaulted it from the side. Completely bisecting it into two

Upon seeing this the co. Turned their heads at the source of the attack, only to see Hibiki who somehow has an aura that grew stronger and sharper than the last time they saw him

"Hibiki?!?" Exclaimed Lily

"What did he...?" Exclaimed Alda

"How did his Mana flow grew stronger?" Asks Mia

In response to this Hibiki followed up his attack by striking the Stone Snake from above and cutting it in half

With that the Stone Snake finally died in the hands of the hero

Seeing Hibiki's sudden strength increase,they immediately gathered around him and asked how did he obtain such power

With such question Hibiki only replied by

"I just got stronger! I'm a hero so it's only natural that I got stronger" he pointed out

As the Hero's party gathered around Hibiki, Kaido himself approached the corpse of the Stone Snake and took the eye of the Stone Snake that hit dislocated from the series of bombardment

"Kaido! You shouldn't touch such precious ingredients like that!... That thing has the power to apply illusions" reminded Anna

"Illusions?" He asks

"Yes illusions" confirmed Anna

After a while Kaido thought something for a bit before he stated

"I want you to make this into some kind that can change ones appearance"

Hearing him Anna replied

"Well I can do that but why would you need it?" She asks

"I just want to get ahead by few small lead" he vaugely answered

Not seeking any deeper meaning Anna silently nodded as she assured that she can prepare a potion that can alter one's appearance

By that time Kaido was thinking who to use the potion, and at the right moment he saw Jack from the side and decided who to use it from

As he conversed with Anna regarding the potion, Melfina casually approached him and  greeted

"Kaido-sama! Welcome back!"

In response Kaido just silently nodded before he asked

"So when did you guys got out from there?" He asks

As he asked this Melfina answered

"About yesterday! It seems like you've taken your time Kaido-sama"

"What? Yesterday? I'm absolutely sure that we only some few hour inside that dark passage" pointed out Kaido as if wanting his curiosity to be answered

Without further ado Anna said

"Your right we did spend only few hour inside there but I still didn't feel comfortable with that in thought" she said

"When we arrived at a certain village we immediately investigated around that particular area only to find something unexpected" added Melfina

"Why? What's wrong?" Asks Kaido

"Well we did found out that somehow the decimated area is about three weeks ago" answered Anna

"But the thing is... We departed out only one day and a half since this area is attacked" added Anna

"So we concluded that space magic was applied" said Melfina

"Space magic? Why? We're talking about time here!" Stated Kaido

"Exactly! If it is time magic then the world's time would have also altered but it doesn't... But with space magic! You can isolate a place from reality and slow down it's space making it progress much slower than the ordinary time" answered Anna

"So they separated the space that made us not noticing the difference of time!... In other words space alteration" deducted Kaido

As they continued to converse their conversation became even more serious than ever before which resulted to the curiosity of the Hero's party at them and bringing about numerous question

"If I somehow copy their way of controlling space the perhaps I can create a portal leading to my old world" he thought to
himself

"Kaido-sama?" Exclaimed Melfina

"Teleportation is the hypothetical transfer of matter or energy from one point to another without traversing the physical space between them. In other words “quantum teleportation”"

"Quantum? If I may ask what is that?" Asks Anna brimming with curiosity

"Not only it is quantum teleportation it is also referred to as theory of special relativity, determined that the laws of physics are the same for all non-accelerating observers, and it showed that the speed of light within a vacuum is the same no matter the speed at which an observer travels. As a result, it is found that space and time were interwoven into a single continuum known as space-time" explained Kaido

"Distance, mass, precision, max power, etc. depend upon of the knowledge, skill, and strength that I can exert... And with this in mind I atleast need to out such things into consideration if I want to cross space" he added

After hearing Kaido's word by word explanation both Melfina and Anna was left speechless by so much unknown knowledge that Kaido presented them in relation to space

"So you mean that if we put this in mind then... We would be able to apply space magic?" Asks Anna trying to get some confirmation

"Exactly" confirmed Kaido

"It's more like teleportation but this time it is on a wide scale that consist of traveling through boundaries and space itself" said Kaido

"If I put that a quantum state of a particle could be teleported to another distant particle, but the two particles do not move at all, then maybe..."

As Kaido said this he outstretched his hand in front of him and tried to alter the space itself

With further much concentration he finally saw some result as the space was slightly distorted in front of his eyes

After that he let go of it and breath heavily

"Doing this kind of thing is taxing... It actually caused me to be tired at such extent I'm impressed" he said

"As I thought Quantum teleportation is distinct from regular teleportation, as it does not transfer particles from one place to another, but rather transmits the information necessary to prepare a target system in the same quantum state as the source system... But no matter how it is complicated I will accomplish it hehehe" laughed aside Kaido

Seeing a slight distortion in space both Melfina and Anna were surprised at the same time amazed by the proportion of space magic

As they talked about this Hibiki spoke up to them calling from afar

"Hey by the way I found the town! It's over that way so lets head over there already!" He announced

In response to that Luke said

"Alright! Everyone! Let's head out!"

Hearing Luke's words even Kaido remembered about the demon that was disturbing the town

"An Archdemon is it? I wonder what it looks like" thought Kaido

At that Kaido group and the Hero's party headed out to the border town where the Archdemon resided
