This story was inspired by The Bay, a 2012 eco-horror film by Barry Levinson (he directed Rain Man, fun fact for you guys), as well as the Resident Evil franchise. To be more specific, The Bay was the main inspiration for the premise of the novel but the survival horror element was inspired by the Resident Evil games.
Just for background information, I had dabbled into sci-fi horror before. In fact, I had published a book about a virus turning people into cannibals on Amazon a couple years ago, but it didn't sell very well.
I had been thinking of writing a new survival horror novel for quite some time since that day, and this time I am happy to say that I have a chance to do just that.
So here is the first eco-horror book I have ever tried to write. If it's successful I may publish this baby on Amazon too. I hope you enjoy this new novel as much as I do writing it.
