"Balita ko, di kayo mapaghiwalay ni ano ah?", Mich whispered to me. I so wanted to punch Aljun kasi sigurado akong sa kanya galing yung balita.
Our team just finished training, at kasunod namin yung Green Archers but I wasn't able to see Andrei kasi hinila ko agad si Mich palabas. We're on our way to Agno to grab a quick bite. Classmates kaming dalawa sa next period.
"Sabihin mo kay Aljun wag siyang fake news."
"Maang-maangan ng taon si ategirl! I have proof 'no. Di lang kita kinulit last night kasi you looked really tired na. Pero you owe me kwento! Na ngayon mo babayaran.", she said.
"I'll treat you na lang.", sabi ko. Wala naman kasing dapat i-kwento.
"Nope.", Mich replied. We chose a table at Ate Rica's and gave our usual order. She kept on bugging me while waiting for the food but I kept my mouth shut.
Honestly, ako mismo nalalabuan sa situation namin ni Andrei. If only we could be normal friends.
"So...? Ano na? Kailangan ko bang sabihin yung mga nasagap ko tapos i-elaborate mo na lang?", sabi ni Mich. Nakaupo na kaming dalawa pero wala pang kumakain.
Instead of giving her an answer, I opened my duffel bag and brought out the pair of sandals I got for her in Liliw.
Mich squealed when she saw the gift but suddenly gave me a suspicious look.
"Ano 'to, suhol?", sabi niya.
"Baliw. Para sayo talaga yan. I'm supposed to give you that on your birthday pero I heard you saying kanina na balak mong bumili ng new pair."
"Awww! Thank you, Tinney!"
"You're welcome, Mishy.", I smiled at her.
"Pero di ka pa rin ligtas.", she said. I shook my head and took a deep breath.
"Oo na, magkkwento na. But can we eat first?", tanong ko.
"Kwento while eating."
Wala na akong nagawa kundi i-share sa kanya how Andrei and I became seatmates on the bus, and how because of that eh naging buddy ko siya for the whole trip.
"Oh my gosh! Kinikilig ako, girl!", hinampas niya pa sakin yung isang sandal.
"Wala lang yun.", sabi ko lang.
"I know I told you na he doesn't date athletes. Pero come to think of it, hindi ka pa niya kilala that time.", Mich said.
