Harry's POV
After a lot of planning and sneaking and disguising, Taylor had made it, undetected, to my house in London. I preferred this one to the one I'd bought in Los Angeles. This one was closer to home. It was quaint and on the outskirts of London. There was a huge backyard and a pool, but the house itself was rather modest. Not the typical house of a popstar. Maybe somewhere you could raise kids.
Kids? What the hell, Styles? Why was I even thinking about kids? I was twenty years old for fuck's sake. I still had my entire life ahead of me. Lots of years to settle down, get married and have kids. They'd have her blue eyes and our curly hair. Her laugh and my sense of humour.
The organisers of the fashion show Taylor was performing at had booked her a hotel room which she'll be expected to arrive at tomorrow. We'd flown in a day early to have dinner at my mother's house. Right now, Tay was obsessing over what she was going to wear to dinner. I'd told her not to fuss and that she should dress warm because the weather outside was beyond freezing. The snow was falling steadily and blanketing everything in sight. She was having none of that though.
"Harry, is this dress too short?"
I looked over and answered, "No, love. It's fine. So were the other six dresses you've asked me about. You're perfectly fine, babe."
I went back to my Xbox game.
"It's not just fine, Haz. This is your mom and sister we're talking about. What if they don't like me? You're their baby. What if they think I'm not good enough?" she sighed and perched on the arm-rest of the couch. I paused the game.
"Not good enough for me? Please, Tay. I'm the one who's not good enough for you," I smiled and draped my arm around her shoulder. "A beautiful, successful, intelligent, strong woman like you should be with the most amazing guy in the world. And yet you settled for me." I grinned, showing my dimples.
She chuckled and nuzzled into my neck. I kissed her on the forehead. She glanced at the time on her phone and cursed under her breath and run up the stairs, muttering about eyeliner and straightening hair. I shook my head.
Once a worrier always a worrier.

"This dress isn't too flashy right?" she mumbled, adjusting her hair.
"No, babe. It's fine." I rolled my eyes and stopped at the red light on our way to my childhood home.
"Okay, but Harry, no kissing and stuff in front of your mom. I don't want to make her uncomfortable or anything."
"Yes ma'am."
"Hand-holding is okay, but nothing else alright?"
"Yeah, love. Now please calm down, you're gonna work yourself up. My mum already loves you. You can do no wrong in her eyes. "
She smiled. "You should never tell a girl to calm down though. You'll get yourself hurt."
I grabbed her hand and squeezed it as I pulled into the familiar driveway.
As we walked up to the front door, I leaned down to whisper in her ear, "Don't forget to have fun."
She smiled and whispered back, "You sound like a coach." I grinned and she started giggling as the front door opened.
"Taylor!" I heard my sister, Gemma exclaim.
The pair immediately embrace and Gemma pulls Taylor into the house and they both start babbling about the type of coat Taylor's wearing. I stood stunned and forgotten on the front porch.
No one paid attention to me as I walked inside from the cold, harsh December weather that seemed to have worsened in the past few hours.
"Hello there, Harry." My mum called from the kitchen where all three of them seemed to have congregated. I shrugged off my coat and joined them too. Instantly I was engulfed in the aroma of my mum's lasagna and homemade bread. This smell brought back so many memories of my childhood.
"Gem has stolen my girlfriend," I pouted and ran to my mom's side. I see Gemma and Tay share a secret look and start giggling like schoolgirls.
Mum wraps me in her arms and gives me one of those hugs that only mums, and occasionally Taylor, can give.
"There, there, Harry bear. Come on you can help mummy set the table," she soothed and I heard Taylor and Gemma cracking up again. This was not how I had expected the night to unfold.
After dinner, where Tay sat between Gem and I (but talked mostly to Gem), I left to go use the restroom and came back in the room to find mum, Gem and Tay looking at my baby pictures.
"Aww and look at this one, Taylor. Hasn't little Harry got the cutest bum?" my mum cooed. I was gonna die of embarrassment.
The three women didn't even notice me flushing bright red in the doorway to the living-room.
Taylor looked up. "Hazza, come look. It's you on the soccer team at age six!" she called excitedly. At least they weren't still laughing at my butt.
After recounting old stories and memories, which were mostly embarrassing for me, we all settled down for some Monopoly. The only reasonable explanation I have for Taylor winning the whole thing was that she was the one of us with the most houses.
It was almost time for Taylor and I to leave when Gem came in from checking her phone in the kitchen and said, "Looks like you aren't leaving yet guys. All the roads are blocked and the whole city has been put on a blizzard alert.
"Oh dear," mum tried to say sympathetically, but I knew she was glad we were staying longer. "Looks like you kids'll have to stay the night," she tried to look disappointed but she couldn't hide the smile lurking beneath the surface of her expression.
"So, Taylor and I are just gonna take my old room yeah?" I asked casually, trying to be smooth.
"Oh no Harry darling," my mother burst my bubble. "Taylor is gonna take the guest room next to Gemma's. You know the rules." She chuckled to herself, heading upstairs to ready a spare room for Tay.
Taylor patted my back sympathetically, "Don't worry babe. It's just one night. You won't die," she smiled.

I'd settled into my old bedroom with all my pictures on the wall and the same bed I used to practice my singing every night on. I'd given Tay a t-shirt from my wardrobe to sleep in. I hoped the storm was going to clear up soon. My mother and sister had basically hijacked my girlfriend.
I heard a small knock on the door and was slightly surprised since I thought I was the only one still awake. I jumped out of bed and rushed to the door before the knocker knocked again and woke mum.
At the door I was greeted with a t-shirt clad Taylor, who I quickly snuck inside and closed the door slowly and quietly. We laid in bed, embracing each other and talking quietly. After a while, Taylor began to braid my hair into little cornrows and I let her be, provided I could do the same with hers.
We both looked ridiculous but it was good fun. After some time, her hands slowed and then altogether stopped moving in my hair signaling she had fallen asleep. I tucked her in and hugged her, wondering how we were gonna explain this sleeping arrangement to mum in the morning. I finally fell asleep thinking about how it would be worth every bit of trouble we got into.
