Day 146: Betrayal.

It's like a chocolate flavoured poison, I can't resist the taste.
Stashed into a cup and kept, to not let it go to waste.
In life we may see good in those, who wish the worst for us.
Never do we know their tainted soul, nor their true behaviours.
It's like wings made of burning embers, they take us up so high.
Sometimes, happiness is only temporary - it finds a way to die.
Careless are we, with who we allow into our lives.
Snakes wear the best disguises; in our backs, they stab the knives.
The sweetest words are often those, with venom 'round the edges.
As we walk the path of life, we must be careful where we're headed.
