"Wow wow wow hey! Where are you, how are you driving my car?!" Markus barked at the empty seat, not really knowing what to do.
"I hacked into your car, and now I'm driving you back home" Markus stared at the radio as it was set to a strange station, A57 - 2b, he didn't even know that kind of station could exist.
"How do I know I can trust you?" Markus raised his eyebrow even though this mystery person couldn't see him.
"Well mister 'I raise my eyebrow at you' I guess there's no way for you to know. But if it helps I honestly wasn't expecting to find you at the house, and you would have either been dead or caught if I hadn't helped you"
Markus sighed knowing it was true but still had his doubts, "Will you at least tell me your name since you already know mine?"
It was the mystery hacker's turn to sigh before he spoke, "You knowing my name is detrimental to our partner ship and is generally unnecessary"
"Partnership? What partnership?"
"The one I just decided to make, you may be a hitman but you do good for this world. We need more people like you but for now, you will have to do and you are no good to society dead"
Markus muttered a general response before looking out the window. He noticed that they, well he was getting close to his father's mansion down in the outskirts of the city. "Hey, how do you know where I live?"
"Same way I know your name and who you are, reasons" Markus was about to ask what those said 'reasons' are but they pulled up in front of his house but the doors remained locked.
"Next time you get a job, tune your radio to this station, chances are I'll already know but this just makes it easier"
"How am I supposed to tune the radio to this, it's not even a real station?"
Simon sighed and explained how to set the station as a preset on his front screen. Markus reached for the door and unlocked it before the hacker spoke again, "When I say to contact me for your next hit, I mean it"
Markus nodded, since apparently the hacker could see him raise his eyebrows earlier and walked out of his car. The engine fell silent as he stepped up to the front door. He grabbed out his key and unlocked the door, locking it back up again after he walked inside.
He took of his coat and set it down on the back of the couch. The house was completely empty now that Carl had passed. He had left the whole estate to Markus and his wealth took care of all the bills, even though Markus wouldn't have a problem paying them with his job.
Carl always knew what his son's late night job was and never said it was wrong. He helped him with many things, like how to pick locks and other such things. He always tried his best to support Markus, even though killing was wrong, Carl knew that he was doing it for a reason and was more than comfortable in supporting him every step of the way.
He had died a few months back from many different health complications that came with his long life of painting and constantly breathing in all the paint. There had been a nice funeral and Markus had received the whole estate while his brother Leo, got almost nothing because of the bad life he had begun to lead.
Leo had tried many times to come to the estate and either come inside or damage the property so Markus got a restraining order on him. Ever since Markus had never heard from or seen Leo again. He assumed he was probably dead in a ditch somewhere, killed by the many enemies he had made in his life.
Markus turned on the tv and flipped it over to the news. He smiled when almost every news station was covering the devastating death of Elijah Kamski. They described his death as a gruesome murder with no leads on who could have done such a terrible dead. Some people on social media were saying that it was the infamous hitman, the man in a black trench coat.
Rumors of a killer in a black trench coat, cleverly named the Man in a Black Trench Coat were circulating the internet. Most believed he was a wealthy man with a grudge against the bad people of our society, killing those who made other's lives miserable. And they weren't wrong.
Markus did indeed kill people who made other's lives harder, he mostly took jobs from other people so he would get paid but he always made sure the person they wanted dead deserved to die. He never killed an innocent person, it was against his moral code.
But of course the police didn't care about his moral code and wanted him caught. A few minutes later it was confirmed that the specialty bullets that were only made during the Vietnam war were found at the crime scene. That was the Black Trench Coat's signature of a job well done.
Markus turned off the tv and headed upstairs to bed. He couldn't get that hacker out of his head. He sounded so familiar, like he knew him before all of his killing sprees had begun. But of course Markus wouldn't know sense the name of the hacker had not been revealed.
There was just something about the voice and the way he spoke and cared about Markus's well being just made him all giddy and happy inside. He shook his head at the thought that he might already be falling for the whom he had never met before in his life.
Markus changed into more comfortable clothes before getting into bed and calling it a night. The mysterious hacker still filling his head as he drifted off the sleep, with the determination to find out who he was someday.
