Markus looked at the device the man in the alley way had given him. His instructions were simple, like always don't leave any trace and kill the person. Easy, right?
Wrong.
Markus was worried that the man may not actually be guilty of any crimes, but of course the idendity of the man is known to no one. That points to him being guilty of at somethings.
Markus had made up his mind that he would do it. He pressed the button on the little box and headed out to his car. He drove fifteen minutes to an abandoned warehouse, it was fifteen stories tall, many of the windows were cracked or shattered and the walls looked as if they were ready to crumble to the ground.
Markus carefully stepped out of his car, hand on his gun as he entered a side door. The inside was even worse than the outside. The walls were cracked and infested with mold and dust. The concrete was missing in several places.
He walked carefully around old desks and chairs. Luckily there seemed to only be one room on every floor so Markus wouldn't have to do that much searching, although there was no power in the building so he would have to walk up every flight of stairs.
The second floor was just as barren as the last floor except for some almost invisible foot prints. If someone was here, they hadn't been in this room in a long time.
The next seven floors were all the same. Barren, filled with dust, and old foot prints. Markus sighed and held in a groan as he continued to climb the stairs. His legs were killing from all the stairs and searching around all nine of the previous floors.
The next floor was completely different. There was no dust on any of the surfaces. There were desks filled with computers and other electronic devices, all humming softly as their cords and wires ran across the floor and up the stairs.
This gave Markus a boost of adrenaline as he checked the room and headed up the stairs once more. But of course the next floor was identical to the previous one with more computers. Markus wondered why someone would have so many computers.
There was no light coming from the staircase as Markus ascended, and was met with a drape covering the doorway. He pulled out his gun and moved the drape aside.
The room was pitch black except for a half circle desk with two monitors glowing atop of them. There was a tall swivel chair seated in front of the desk, someone was sitting in the chair and tapping their foot quickly on the floor.
Markus stepped forward and silently put his hand on the chair. He wanted to get a good look at the person before he killed him.
He quickly spun the chair around and pointed the gun at the person's head. They looked all too familiar. He looked like one of his prior clients, Daniel or something like that.
"Look, Daniel is it? This isn't personal" Markus started before the very scared man sitting in the chair butted in.
"It's just business, but I highly suggest you don't shoot" Markus paused, how could this person know his catchphrase? Maybe he just misunderstood him through the man's mask.
"How do you know that? Who are you? But most importantly, why shouldn't I kill you?"
The man put his hands up slightly as he looked up Markus, (Fun fact, the actor for Markus, Jesse Williams is 6'1, while the actor for Simon/Daniel (Ben Lambert) is 6'2... Thought that was kinda funny)
"Well it's kinda a funny story Markus, um its nice to finally meet you in person?"
"What the fuck are you talking abou-" Markus stopped.
"2b?"
"Surprise" 2b did jazz hands as he gave Markus an awkward nervous smile.
Dun dun dun
