Thor's POV

"Go away!"
Thor opened the door anyway, greeted by Carol sitting on her bed, crying. Not crying tears of sadness. Tears of anger. At him.
Thor had never felt so terrible in his life... he couldn't believe that he'd actually said some of those things.
"Listen... Carol... I'm-"
"What part of 'go away' don't you understand?!" She snapped at him.
"I just want to apologize... I didn't mean what I said-"
"Yes you did! You meant everything!" Carol's voice hit him like a slap, echoed by sobs.
Thor reached out for her hand, only for it to be rejected.
Something inside of him bubbled up. Thor knew that he would never get the chance to say what he wanted to say the most ever again...
He knew it was such a risk, but risks were meant to be taken.
"Carol... please listen. I know you probably hate me, but... the truth is... I love you."
She went silent and looked at him in disbelief.
Feeling that his presence was no longer wanted, Thor made his way for the door...
...and felt Carol grab his hand.
"Thor... I love you too."
The two of them kissed as if they would never be allowed to kiss again.
