6~ Your Words

(Angst Tw. Also, I'm back!) 

"Kai, you aren't that smart." 

"Hurry, Kai. God, your so slow." 

Everywhere I turn, I never meet expectations. 

"Goddammit! Kai!" 

"Stupid" 

"That makes no sense." 

I know I'm not smart, but I try to help.

"Kai, just go stand over there." 

"I'm sorry, were you speaking?" 

Am I gone? 

My eyes open tiredly. I want to sleep a bit more. 

"Master Kai," The butler said, standing near my bed.

"Morning," I laugh.

"Sir, you were sleep talking." He said, shooting me a look.

"Huh? Oh, well, I don't know what about." I said. He knows that I get nightmares, and I don't want him to care right now. I know they can get bad with the whole facts and realities. Honestly tho, I don't really care about them anymore that much. There kind of just there.  

But before he could say anything else, I stood up getting ready. Today, Adam, me, and Mira are hanging out at Mira's place. Her brothers and dads are out so she wants to have lunch and wait for some package. Supposedly something about a new makeup kit, and she wants us to see. I like hanging out, even though I know nothing about it. But it will be fun.

I arrived at Mira's right on time. Rare, I know. I'm not surprised to see that Adam was late. We usually come together. Mira was near the stove when I got in. Making ramen, which was my favorite. I watched the bubble went up and down. (tbh I have burnt ramen before so I don't know how this works. Soon I was snapped out of my thoughts when Adam knocked on the door. Mira had let him in, greeting him as he leaned near the door stand. Running his figures through his hair, his perfect hair. 

"Hey Kia, I see you're not late" 

"No duh," I said. 

Mira had poured us a bowl each, expect she ate some vegan thing. We had talked about some new updates on our world.  There's going to be new movies and what I have heard a new donut flavor. It was exciting but, Mira was probably more excited when she heard the mail truck. I felt Adam look at me. 

"Guys! Let's open the box!" Mira jumped up. I smiled at her happiness. 

 There was like 3 palettes some clear lip gloss which actually smelt like soda. I tried to pay attention but I can't when Adam's near me. I like him, but he doesn't. He didn't always act this way, only once we got used to life here he was always saying things about me. I want to ask what's wrong but I'm not sure.

"Hey, guys, whats a contour thing," I asked, holding up to the light.

"Dumbass, it to enhance your face." Adam laughed. 

Soon after we fangirled over the box, wrapping paper, and makeup, I and Adam left. Adam had walked me out, I didn't complain. I liked his company. 

"So, what is this thing between you and Vanessa," Adam asked me.

"Nothing," I sounded unsure of what he was asking. I and Vanessa are just friends. 

"I thought you gut were dating," Adam said.

Ew. Me and here dating, ew. I see her as like my bro. 

"No," I said. 

"You must be stupid, she is so into you," Stupid. God, I know I'm stupid. 

"And? I know I'm stupid. Okay!" I said, and I walked off, leaving him behind. 

I don't understand why he has to say this. I hear it so much. I like him I do, because of the good times. I just ugh. 

I arrive at my house and my first instinct is to lay down and call Mira. 

"Miraa!"

"Huh?"  She said from over the phone.

"I yelled at Adam, and I just feel bad," I admitted. I don't really get mad when he calls me stuff, but lately I just kinda want him to like me. 

"Apologize, and maybe confess. You guys would look so cute together!" I could tell she was putting on makeup by the way she was talking. Trying to be a gossip stereotype. 

"But, I know he wouldn't like me." 

"He does, trust me. The way he looks at you says it all"  

"But-" 

"Call me back when you say you like him," Mira said before hanging up. Ugh. 

I lay in bed for a bit. 

I got up and realized I should take her advice. So I got ready to go over to Adam's. My heart is racing inside of me. I walk over to his house, trying to get free of my scaredness. 

Knock Knock!
And as soon as I did, Adam arrived at the door. 

"What?" He said. 

"I'm sorry for yelling at you," I said. 

"It's okay," Adam said, welcoming me inside his house. It seemed like it was going to crush me, 

"Adam, look, I'm just going to come out and say it," I paused looking for my words. 

"I like you" The word spilled out of my mouth.

"Kai, I get that you're sorry about storming off, but you are truly stupid if you think that I like you," 

Those words ring inside my head. It was a bad idea.
