I grab a handful of the burning gloop and throw it at the glass.
It slowly starts to melt, making a hole right out into the forest.
Before anyone can stop me, I run.
Again.

That's what I seem to be doing all the time here lately.
Running.
And running.
And running.
Will I ever stop?

A sheer cliff comes up ahead of me.
I don't stop.
I get closer.
I still don't stop.
I go over and plumit towards the ground.

Half a second before I would have died,
I levitate and keep going.
Putting all my energy into my legs.
Before long I see a clearing ahead of me.
My mouth drops open when I recognize it.
I quickly turn right and run to a knotted old tree.

I twist one of the knots and a door opens out of the tree.
I climb down the stairs and shut the door behind me. At the bottom is another door and a panel.
I type in a code and the door slings open, then I lick another pad and walk through.

I walk in and flop down on one of the couchs.
Then literally faint.

°

I awake to a sound and look around.
I see nothing so I lay back down.
I'm just about to practically faint again, when I hear a chuckle across the room.
My breath catches in my throat as I quickly sit up.
"Who's there!?" I croak.

"Why me, dear."
I hear the voice say.
I relax my tensed shoulders and sigh.
Then I lay back once again as Gisela comes to stand over me.
She runs a finger down my face.
"We thought we'd lost you my little Phoenix."

I close my eyes as she pulls a twig from my hair.
She can be so loving at times, and so terrifying at others.
For some reason I crave that love though.
I guess it's because when she does show it, it's like nothing you've ever known.
Or at least I've ever known.

I hear her sigh as she lifts my head and sits.
She then lays my head in her lap and runs her fingers through my tangled hair.
"You did well, little phantom.
For the first few years atleast.
But then you had to go and mess it all up. Well too bad. There is a tracker on you so we haven't much time."

My eyes fly open in shock and terror,
a terrible feeling creeping over me.
"I think it's time you go back."

°

"It's empty. All gone. Completely."
A male voice grumbles.
"Are you sure?"
A female one asks.
"Yes I am sure! I checked very thoroughly. They did too good of a job. The hideout was completely empty."
The male barks.

I open my blurry eyes as water drips down my face.
I stare at the drops that drip onto my secured arm.
Why are my arms tied up?
Where am I?

A group of people stand in front of me.
A bloated man, an ice encrusted woman, four teen girls and four teen boys.
The blonde teen girl is the first to notice me.
Her eyes pity me and hate me at the same time.

Then the rest of the group turns to me.
The bloated man starts to speak, but I cut him off.
"Where am I?"
He glares at me.
"That is to remain unbeknown to you."
He says.

"Then who are you? Why am I here?
And who am I?"
"Is that a joke?" The ice encrusted woman asks, scathingly, but the man pales before hurrying over to me and placing two fingers on each side of my head.
Anger fills his face as he steps back a moment later.
"She's not kidding. Her mind has been erased."
