Black lives matter.
Don't even think
this is a trend.
This is the start
of a revolution.
A movement.
With joined hands,
together we join forces
no matter what our
physical appearance
may look like.
For the justice
and equality that
black people have
fought for hundreds
of years.

We say things
have gotten better,
but why do the same
things keep occurring?
Like a song stuck
in a loop,
history keeps
repeating itself.
On and on and on.

It's time to stop
turning a blind eye
to these prejudices
against black people.
It's time to stand
against this endless
loop of unjustness.
Just one person can
make a huge difference,
but only together
can we make a
permanent change.

Black lives matter.
Remember that.

A/N- I was so enraged when I saw the George Floyd video. This discrimination based on our races and religions has to stop. The fact that people hate on others because of something as simple as skin color and what we belive in is just so stupid. I'll probably do another poem about these types of topics because I have a lot to say. I'm glad those cops got what they deserved. Please help by signing the following petitions:

Emerald Black, pregnant when an officer brutally stomped on her stomach, causing her to have a miscarriage: https://t.co/A5G6OFTUSv

Willie Simmons who has served 38 years for a $9 robbery:  https://t.co/ShpIYiOJti

Breonna Taylor’s shot 8 times by police officers who had the ‘wrong house’:

Ahmaud Marquez Arbery unarmed and jogging shot in Glynn County, Georgia: https://t.co/9U05X0DHs5

David McAtee unarmed killed by the LMPD and the National Guard two days ago at his BBQ stand in Louisville, Kentucky: https://t.co/xFUsLhsbgk

Tete Gulley a queer Black transient found h*nging from a tree; their family has been denied an autopsy:  https://t.co/CtnO2jLCYF

Kendrick Johnson killed by other student striking his neck with a 45 pound weight and never served justice despite the autopsy showing intentional trauma to the neck:  https://t.co/4tf1B9cKb8

The sad part is that these are only a FEW of hundreds and thousands of black people whose lives were either ruined or murdered because of their skin color. If anyone wants to talk, please DM me. In this link, you can see different ways you can help and it gives you a bunch of more petitions you can sign to help:  https://t.co/VjwQFp2krC

Stay safe everyone!
