I gulped.
"Mom?"
"Yes?"
She answered in a politely.
"Does he own a crystal business?"
I asked.
Clutching at my pearls.
Waiting for an answer.
"Yes. Why?" She asked.
I run upstairs to grab the necklace that Andrew gifted to me.
To show my mom about the gift.
I hold up the chain on the necklace as she takes a good glimpse at the expensive jewelry.
"Where did you get that??" She asked. Pointing her finger towards the necklace. As if the necklace was a gift from danger.
"A friend of mine gave it to me."
I replied.
Holding the necklace close to my chest. Rubbing it in the palm of my hand. As if it was like rubbing a crystal ball.
My mom looked furious.
"Who gave that to you??"
She shouted with anger.
"Mom? Can you please just calm down for a second?"
I asked politely.
"No! Now. Tell me where did you get that neck-?"
Before she could get the last word out.
It'd finally hit me. My stomach swell. It'd felt like my intestines were being tied into heavy knots.
My heart is beating fast like a cheetah chasing its prey.
"Andrew gave me this mom! Now you're happy??"
It gets abruptly quiet.

"Where did you say. You'd gotten that necklace from again?"
She asked. Just to make sure no one else's name was being mentioned.
"Me and Andrew has been seeing each other for quite awhile now."
I slowly fall into my seat.
"Mom?...Me and Andrew are in love with each other. I didn't tell you because of us not speaking for days. Almost into a month of not talking."
I explained.
My mom began looking disappointed. But also shocked.
"You mean...our neighbor? His son?-"
"Yes mom."
"I understand that you're grown and you can see whoever you want to see in your life. But this can't be.
My life. OUR LIVES are in danger all because of his dad wants to be this leader of some skulls gang."

"Wait a minute...mom? Why is he mad at you again?"
I asked her without being hesitant about it.
"He didn't know I was married. All he could think of was my-"
Before anything could any further with her words.
I interrupted her.
"Ugh...mom. I get it."

"I'm just saying. Men only wants one thing an you should've had been known that a long ago."
She replied.

I looked down at my shoes.
My mom hand her hand out.
"Give me the necklace."
She demanded.

"I just can't throw it out."
I warned her.

Her eyebrows raised.
"Give me the jewelry."
She grinned her teeth.

I finally handed her the necklace as she snatches it out of my hand.

Watching her aggressively storm towards the kitchen.
My jaw dropped as I continuously follow behind her.

I watched her grab a hammer from underneath the sink.
"Mom...what are you doing?"
I asked.
"Why don't you mind your business?"
She replied.
"No!"
I shouted.
But it was too late to stop her from destroying the expensive jewelry.
My mom has given her last words.
"Don't you tell! Ya hear??"
She demanded.
Storming her way back out of the kitchen.
While carrying what was left of the chain.
My eyes can not believe with what I just witnessed right now.
My mouth has yet to close.
All I could think about how much our lives being danger.
It's too late.
Our lives been in danger.
Only if that word never existed.
"What should I do now?"

TWO VS ONE 2

Suddenly.
We hear a knock at the door.
I plop from off of the hardwood floors.
I began looking straight ahead.
My mom peeps her head from around the corner.
"Did you had visitors coming today?"
She asked.
Staring at me as if she'd knew who it was.
She points her finger towards the door. As if she was telling me to go and answer the door. Pulling out her AR-15 from her china closet cabinet.
I stood there in shock for a few minutes. Wondering where my mom get her "black rifle" from.
I finally opened the door.
"Andrew?" I called.
"Hey." He replied.
We're standing in awkward silence.
"Can I come in?" He asked.
"Yes. Sure. Come on in."
I realize my mom is standing behind the door with her assault rifle.
When out of nowhere she began pointing the gun towards Andrew. .
His arms goes up.
"Woah lady! Who are you?? And why are you trying to shoot me??"
He asked.
Standing in confusion.
My mom point her gun towards the direction where the chairs are.
"I have a couple of questions. Come on sit down."
She said.
Pulling up a diner chair next to her.
She looks him deep in the eyes.
"I know who you are."

TWO VS ONE 3

"You know who I am? Where? How?He asked.
"Young man. If I tell you...you're going to be very confused." She answered.
Andrew looks over at me. As I'm sitting across the table from him and mom. Watching them like a watchdog. Making sure my mom doesn't do anything stupid.
"What is she talking about?"
He asked. He looked puzzled.
I fold my arms.
"My mom thinks "just because" we're screwing around and you're father is the head leader of a skull gang that you're as bad and evil as he is. Pfft right? What a crazy nut case."

She shuts me up before I could tell him the rest of the story.

"Look. I understand that you're upset...but do you mind not pointing that gun at me?" He asked politely.
She scoots closer to him
And bluntly whispers into his ear.
"I could be your mother. But you'd screwed my daughter."
Andrew quickly pulls away from her. Jumping out of his chair.
He began rubbing his head as he's feeling confused about what's going on.
"What's going on???!"
He starts pacing back and forth.
I look at my mom.
"What's going on mom?"
I asked.
"I'd told him the correct truth."
She answered.
Grinning her teeth.
Andrew pulls out his pocket knife. Grabbing me by the forearm.
My eyes closed shut.
"What are you doing?"
You could hear my voice shaking I'm fear.
Wrapping his arm tightly around my neck.
I was so shocked and more than surprised. Andrew would ever do that to his "friend".

"Why are you doing this?" I cried.
"This is all of your mom's fault!"
He shouted in distress.
Andrew and my mom started debating with whom should put their weapons down first.
