If you know somebody that is a complete bookworm, guilty as charged, then just slowly take all of their books, not in a mean way though! If its a friend then you could secretly grab their book and walk away with it, not only would you get a good laugh out of them possibly going crazy looking for it but you could also see how long it takes them to realize the book is missing. Then at the end of the week/month/whenever you decide to give it back, see their reaction when you give them their book(s) either they will be extremely angry at you or they will think you just found their books.
OR
You could secretly start putting their books back.
OR
As you take another one of their books you put the one that you last took from them back.
