Chapter 12: The Gang (pt 1) B)

-time skip to last day in florida-

i was with clay and i had all of my stuff ready; i was sitting on his couch while on my phone because i was just waiting for him to get all of his things packed. we all planned on hanging out and staying at nicks house for a few days.

when clay had finally finished packing his bags, we were on our way to the airport. we went through the whole security process and made it onto our plane right on time; we sat next to each other and talked for a majority of the time. it was fun and i had gotten a few pictures of him sleeping and drool coming out of his mouth.

when we finally landed, i texted nick to tell him, but as i was typing i was kind of shaking out of nervousness; clay quickly noticed and realized i must be scared

"u rlly don't need to be so nervous" he said and gave a reassuring smile

"i'm just scared, what if he doesn't like me.." i said cautiously, "we've been friends for a while now but what if things are awkward because i'm pretty sure he can tell that i like him a lot.. what if i fuck things up?.."
(oHhH that's a no no wOrd)

"i think ur overthinking everything" he replied, "i think that if u just chill with him for a bit in real life, and eventually make a move, everything will be good. plus, i know he likes u, he's just a pussy"

i laughed and replied, "okay, i'll just- try to relax for now"

we chilled while waiting for nick to pick us up and as we were talking, we finally got a text saying he was waiting for us. my nerves started getting worse but i just tried to hide them

"okay, he's waiting.. what do i say when i see him? do i hug him?" i asked

"say hi, and yes, hug him. i'm sure he would like that" clay replied and winked

i just turned red and didn't speak after that. we continued walking and we saw him waiting for us.
i smiled as nick and clay did a bro hug and once they pulled apart, they both looked at me and i went up to him and hugged him

"hi" i said

"hey" nick said smiling

"oh my gosh ur hair is so long" i said, reaching as high as i could to touch it. he was pretty tall.

when i reached up on my toes, he had to slightly move his head down so i could touch it.

"pfft ur so short" clay said and laughed

"shut up" i said laughing while crossing my arms

"he's right" nick joined in laughing, but i noticed a small blush formed on his face

"oh wowww, u guys just had to bring me down" i said laughing again

"sorry, but even george is taller than u" clay said

"wait how tall is he?" i asked

"idk like 5'8" nick said
(im sorry if ur taller than that lmao i just thought it would be funny for y/n to be short human.. and like, gets treated like the kid of the group as an inside joke ig)

"oh wow.. okay" i said with wide eyes

"oh yeah, so when is george coming?" nick said

"he should be coming tonight.." i said in a not so sure tone

"hm, okay.. so what's the plan?" nick said

"i say we go put our stuff at ur house, and just hang out for now" clay said looking pretty tired

we all agreed and got into nicks car. i sat in the front with nick because clay wanted to sleep more comfortably in the back.
i was still very nervous tho and i was ranting to george while also occasionally talking to nick

okay i'm in the car with nick rn and i'm kind of panicking because- well idk
i'm scared hELp

george:
just chill
it's not like he's gonna murder u

y/n:
can u at least TRY to calm me

george:
okay okay
u have nothing to worry about
just chill and pretend ur just with a friend

y/n:
i keep telling myself to chill but my hands keep shaking
okay hold on i'll text u later

george:
well imma be on a plane sooo

y/n:
oh yeah, well i'm still gonna rant to u even tho u won't be able to respond.. so look forward to that:)

i put my phone down as nick asked what i was doing.

"oh i was just texting george before he got on his plane" i said, my hands still shaking

"oh okay," he looked down at my hands for a second and back at the road, "u okay?"

"yeah, just nervous.. i'm not good around people.." i said

he smiled, "u don't have to be nervous around me ya know"

"well yeah- i know... but i'm still nervous.. its weird" i said while laughing

it was silence until i heard him sigh and look back at the road, "..what's wrong?" i asked

"nothing, it's just- i'm happy we're all gonna hang out with each other" he said while smiling and focusing on driving

"yeah me too, once everyone is here, we r gonna have so much fun" i said while looking out the window. i saw him look at me and smile through the corner of my eye, but i didn't turn to look at him because i didn't want him to know i caught him slightly staring every once in a while; it was cute and made me feel warm inside

-time skip-

we had gotten to his house and when we parked, i woke clay up and we brought our things inside.

"okay so whose staying where?" clay asked

"uh i haven't actually thought that through.. i have enough areas for people to sleep but idk who's going where.." nick said

"how about we figure it out once george gets here" i said

"sounds good" nick said and clay agreed

(guys i'm genuinely so sorry cuz i feel like these chapters r getting worse, but my brain has been getting distracted and tired.. i'll write more in a few days and eventually i will edit all of my chapters; i'll fix spelling/grammar mistakes or confusing and out of place scenes in the plot.. if that makes sense. i hope u guys have a good night/day<3 also, sapnap went live and it made me a happy human)
