His un assertiveness and lack of confidence have always been there, waiting for the right moment to come out into the light again.
That moment arrived with the second pregnancy.
His mother didn't want another grandchild.
And deep down he probably didn't want to do what he did next, but his crippled persona did it nonetheless.
He told his wife to have an abortion.
His wife was determined though. She didn't listen and she fought to have what they knew later to be their daughter.
Unlike what it might have been expected from him, he loved his daughter, just as much as his first son.
She was the princess.
But something happened that moment inside of him.
The pressure of trying to gain recognition, the guilt of not having listened and thus the pain of losing that recognition. All of that, and more, led him into a vicious habit.
The one of drinking.
