Chapter 22

Yamaguchi's POV:

Tsukki arrived at my house quickly, as said. I invited him in since I wasn't quite ready to go out yet. He only gave me five minuets after all.

"Hey tsukki, which one do you like more?" I asked holding two shirts up i pulling out my closet. One was a baby blue with some pattern on it. And the other was a striped black and white.

"Yams," He looked up from his phone and pushed up his glasses. "You look adorable in both, so just pick one."

My face immediately heated up as it always did. "Thanks tsukki..." Something i'll never get used to, even after dating for moths, Is Tsukishima complimenting me.

I mean, he's always complimented me. Ever since we were kids.

But it still makes me flustered. I curse that.

"Where are we going anyway?"

"I dunno, we could just walk down to shops and stay in."

"Yeah, sound fun!" I smiled at him. 

He gave a sweet smile back. I only saw for a second as he turned his head, pushing up his glasses one more time. "Let's go.." He sort of coughed.
Tsukishima smiling is kind of a rare sight for everyone but me, and I was grateful I could see such a beautiful thing.

Tsukki stood up and walked over, giving me a soft kiss on the forehead. "Come on then." I grabbed ahold of his hand letting him lead us all the way to the shops.

We ended up buying a load of snacks, a dvd to watch (some horror film I forgot the name to. Because of course it was a horror film.) and some fizzy drinks. Tsukishima was annoyed at how much sugary things we bought but I just gave him a smile which always seems to calm him down.

We walked back to my place hand in hand, holding small conversations.

"Are you going to be scared yamaguchi?" He asked me, with a slight smile on his face. A mix of mocking and a genuine smile.

I love how I get to see the tsukishima nobody else gets to see.

"Scared of what?"

"The film."

"Oh- um. no i'll be fine." I lied. I hated horror film, but I also loved a good excuse to hear tsukki say something along the lines of 'i'll protect you' or 'don't worry'. Who wouldn't want to hear that? It's the most cliche thing that every guy or girl or anyone in between wants to hear from their partner. It's a Need.

He gave me a reassuring squeeze on the hand, we walked the rest of the way in a comfortable silence.

It's not like staying in and watching movies is unnatural for him and i. We've been doing it ever since we were kids. It's one of those things that never get old.

We set up my bedroom: pillows and blankets everywhere. Ready to put the movie on. We shared out the snacks into bowls and gathered even more big pillows and a double blanket. Because who can have too much pillows and blankets?

"Ready?" Tsukishima whispered.

He had one arm wrapped around my waist, the other one holding the tv remote pointed towards the small tv in my room.

I nodded my head and smiled as he pressed start on the film. Snuggling myself closer to my boyfriend, mentally preparing myself for whatever happens next.

Time passed.

Half way through the movie, I was about ready to cry. I really did hate horror movies, and tsukki knew this.

"Hey yams?" He whispers although it still made me jump.

"Y-yeah? What's up? Nothing."

He definitely laughed at this. Even if he tried hiding it. Tsukishima lifted my head a little, making It so I was looking into his eyes. I heard a loud bang from the film making me flinch.

Tsukki leaned down, giving me a gentle kiss on the lips. "I love you tadashi."

"I know." I smiled innocently, all my fear washed away quickly when tsukki placed his lips on mine again for a more meaningful, deeper kiss.

I guess horror films aren't so bad.
