Ozpin's Office
Y/N

The way up to Father's office felt like hours. I began to bounce my feet, waiting for the elevator's doors to open. 'Why am I nervous...? I shouldn't be nervous...' I told myself.

Miraculously, the elevator door opens. I saw Pyrrha look back at the unprecedented visitor. Her eyes widen seeing me. "Y/N? What are you doing here?" Pyrrha lets out in surprise.

"Y/N is my son." Father abruptly tells Pyrrha. "Your son?" Pyrrha asks Father. He simply nods. She looked at me for any lies, but she didn't. "As I was saying, Ms. Nikos, what if I were to tell you that there were four maidens existing in this world, that could wield such tremendous powers, without Dust?" Father asks Pyrrha.

I stood next to Qrow who was leaning on the wall. "You mean... like a semblance?" Pyrrha asks. "Like magic." Father corrects her with a small smile. "You're serious?" Pyrrha lets out amazed.

"Do I look like I'm joking?" Father asks her with a straight face. "No... why... why are you telling me this?" Pyrrha asks him. I see Father look at Qrow, who nods at him.

"We are telling you this, Pyrrha Nikos, because we believe that you are next in line to receive the Fall Maiden's powers." Father confessed. "We?" Pyrrha realized. As if on cue, Glynda and General Ironwood step out of the elevator.

"Sorry, we're late." General Ironwood apologizes. "Wait, what is this? Who are you?" Pyrrha asks to General Ironwood specifically. "You know who we are. We're still the same teachers and Headmasters you met when you arrived at Beacon." Glynda assures Pyrrha.

"'Cept we've got a little part-time job." Qrow added. "We are the protects of this word." General Ironwood let out. "And we need your help." I tell her in my most soothing voice.

. . .

"Where are we going?" Pyrrha asks everyone in the elevator. "The vault. Under the school." Father answers. The elevator continues down, until it stops and opens. Everyone walks out. I noticed the hesitation in Pyrrha's step. "Don't worry, Pyrrha. I know this is a lot to take in." I started. "How long did you know about this part-time job?" Pyrrha asks me. I looked down at the moving ground.

"Ever since... I was 13, or 14..." I answered. "I'm sure you have a lot of questions." I continued. "Maybe one, or two... I still don't understand. They said I was next in line to receive the Maiden's power. What do they mean by that?" Pyrrha asks me.

"The Maidens have existed for thousands of years. But much like in nature, the seasons change. No two summers alike. When a Maiden dies, her power leaves her body and seeks out a new host, ensuring that the seasons are never lost and that no individual can hold on to that power forever." I explained.

"So, how does the power choose?" Pyrrha asks. "One thing is for certain that the powers were specifically passed on to young women. But as time went on, it was discovered that the selection process was much more intimate." I explained.

"Intimate?" Pyrrha asks me with a hint of concern. "When a Maiden dies, the one who is in her final thoughts is the first candidate to inherit her power. But if that person is either a man or an old woman, the power goes to someone random." I explained.

"Why tell all of this now? Why not wait until I've graduated?" She asks to everyone. "Honestly, we've run out of time. I don't know if you've noticed, but things are getting a lot scarier out in the world. Tensions are high. Grimm are growing stronger, more prevalent. And it's not going to be much longer before the peace we've been enjoying so much goes out the window." Qrow explained.
