Narration

The Battle of Beacon fell into the hands of the Grimm forces. Many students and people died. The streets of Vale destroyed due to the invasion. The tower that stood erect at Beacon Academy still stood... but with a decorated stone Wyvern that clung onto the side. Headmaster Ozpin was assumed dead after seeing his deceased bodies in the Vault.

But for his "son," no one knows. He might've been killed elsewhere or he disappeared without a trace.

With the past headmaster dead, Glynda Goodwitch was granted the title of the current Headmistress of Beacon Academy. Glynda Goodwitch tirelessly worked every day to bring Vale back to its former beauty.

What about the students? Specifically, Team RWBY and Team JNPR? Well... we can say that they got the ending that they hoped not to get. After the departure of Beacon Academy, Team RWBY went their separate ways.

Jacques Schnee, the father of Weiss Schnee, retrieved her daughter and both flew back to Atlas. Yang and Ruby returned to the Island of Patch where their home was settled. And for Blake, she left without a single trace.

Team JNPR... they lost their red-haired warrior. Jaune still mourns for the death of Pyrrha. He didn't want to see her go... but she still went to fight the Fall Maiden, knowing she couldn't win. Jaune, Nora, and Ren stayed in touch after the fall... and mourned together for their perished teammate.

Now... we set our attention to the small house on the island of Patch. Birds tweeted in the distance and the sun's rays peeked out of a bedroom window. The silver-eyed girl slowly wakes up from her rest. Ruby looks over at her sleeping dad in a chair.

She heaves a small sigh and sits up on her bed, causing Taiyang to stir from his sleep. The dad looks up and saw her daughter awake with relief displayed in his eyes. "Ruby! You're awake!" Taiyang exclaims as he kneels by Ruby's bed.

"Ugh... what happened?" Ruby asks. "Your uncle Qrow found you, unconscious. He got you out of there, though, and brought you home safe." Taiyang explains to his daughter.

For a split second, Ruby looks down in thought. Then, she looks back at her dad. "Wait! Yang! Is she alright?" She asks in a worried tone. "Uh... she's uh... she's gonna be alright." Taiyang started.

"I think she's just... I think it's just gonna take some time for her to get used to things. She's too strong to let this stop her." He assured. For a moment, he covers his eyes and sniffles not before looking back up and smile at Ruby. "I'm just glad to have my girls back at home." Taiyang confessed.

"What happened to the school?! And Vale?! Were they able to clear out the Grimm?" Ruby bombarded her dad with questions. "Thing's at Vale are under control, but the school... it's... it's not simple." Taiyang started.

"That thing, whatever it is, doesn't seem to be dead. Don't get me wrong, you did a number on it. But it's not disappearing. It's... kind of... frozen. I know that doesn't sound too bad, but it keeps attracting more Grimm to the school." Taiyang explained.

"I did... what?" Ruby asks as she tilts her head to the side. "Hmm?" Taiyang lets out. "You said I did a number on it. What do you mean?" Ruby reiterates. "I... look that's not important right now. We talk about it later. Things are just... kind of a mess." Taiyang dodges.

"It's always a mess." A familiar voice intercepts. Ruby and Taiyang look at the door entrance and see the one and only Qrow Branwen. The dusty old crow drinks out of his flask, finishing the contents before continuing.

"Mind if we have a minute?" Qrow asks Taiyang. "What, I can't stay here?" Taiyang asked offended. "Tai. Please." Qrow urged. Taiyang stands up with a sigh. Before leaving the room, he kisses Ruby's forehead. "I'm glad you're alright." He says as he walks away. "I'll go make us some tea." Taiyang lets out as he glares at Qrow.
