History won't repeat again

Wake up, face off the world -
Turn down the emotions;
Oppression is the tool to suppress-
my survival with this black skin.

Grew up hearing from everyone,
"All mankind runs for that fair colour,"
But, why would it turn a blind eye;
To the ones that actually suffered and perspired?

Fights, protests, marches-
Are fundamental rights breathed into our lungs, ever.
Is freedom and liberty a joke, for I'm melanin-free?
Break those barriers, humans.
We aren't sailing on boats and carrying loads.

You laugh, you small talk about my skin,
Is my intellect not a parameter to judge me?
Am I not eligible to walk down the battlefield with my armor on?
Would I be eligible to throw the shard's of glasses on the hatred?

Take this pain away,
Can I wash away the memories out of my mind?
Throw the blood and gory on your white supremacists.
Why are they sitting on the throne,
While we're straining our veins and bleeding with the criticisms.

"RIGHTS!" Cry it out loud,
Clarion call for the future won't be so late, again.
Reckon the history that is repeating again,
All your glitters are gold, for you're only running on complexion's gasoline.

It hurts to trail through this rocky path,
My parents were told to shut my mouth for I'm black!
Is it natural or did I malfunction on your stereotypes?

My heart still beats,
My blood is red, and not black.
My veins and arteries are all in place -
The valves still open to permeate haemoglobin,
So, why are you still throwing the pieces of newspaper clippings?
Teaching the kids that my ancestors went through slavery,
Why is the text referring to my skin?
When would the dictatorship end?
Would it even, or should I bring on my army -
To landslide and march against your wrecks.

P.S. - Personally, this is written out of the severe anger inside me. I was bullied and joked for being brown myself. We're all unique in our ways. If being you is a problem for them, stand against them. Racial discrimination is just not about the colour. It's about one's entire life and their mental and physical systems are all affected, because of the tremendous prejudice that's going on and around.
