After losing to your mom, Wanda at Checkers, you accuse her of using her mind reading ability to cheat. She then suggested you to challenge the best player in the tower, aka Natasha Romanoff much to your surprise! (Challenge against Natasha will be part 2 if I write it!)
I am currently sat with my mom on the sofa watching a movie but I am not really paying any attention to it. Instead, I decided I wanted to play a game with her. More specifically, checkers. You see, my mom can read minds so it makes the game either really interesting or just really quick. When it is a quick game, I know she reads my mind to figure out my next move. Unfortunately, I need proof that she cheats and now is my chance! Especially now the fact that she has agreed to play best of three.
This is how we ended up on our second round and to no surprise, she won the first. I begin to formulate a plan in my head and take my next move. If my mom moved where I hoped she would, I would have the chance to take three crowns in one go! Unfortunately, she moved the one piece that stopped me from jumping her. Don't get me wrong, I can still take one of her pieces, but if I did, then she could take two of my crowns. So, I strategically bring in another crown thinking I had trapped her pieces into a corner.
Mom looked up at me and smirked. I raised my eyebrow, confused as to what she was about to do. She placed her piece in between two of mine so, either way, she will be able to take one of mine. "What! How the heck did I not see that!" I fake coughed in between the words, "Cheater." She sighed but still held a smirk on her face. "Hardly y/n. You just can't admit that you're terrible at this game." I scoffed at her in response. "Fine, then you find me the best player in the tower to challenge me at this game! And if I win, you have to tell me the truth as to whether you read my mind during these games." Mom laughed and said, "That's a big if. But if this person wins, you have to train with Rogers... using his method." My eyes widened. "But mom! He runs half a marathon everyday! And his workouts are inhuman I tell you. Inhuman!" She laughed at me again.
After about ten minutes, I only had one crown left. Mom, as to no surprise had three. "You ready to lose?" I grunted. "Just take the piece and claim yet another victory." She used her piece to jump over mine. And that was it. Game over. "Alright, so who do you pick to challenge me at checkers?" She thought for a moment before answering. "Hmm, the only person that has ever beaten me is Natasha." "The Black Widow? You want me to face off against her? Damn, you really want me to train Rogers style don't you?" She just laughed slightly.
Funnily enough, Natasha walked into the room. "Ah, speak of the devil." I said causing her to raise her eyebrow. But she clicked when she saw the checkers game set up. "Let me guess, y/n keeps losing to you and claims you cheat using your powers and you want her to play me to find out if she is right or if she is just a terrible player?" Me and mom looked at each other. "That pretty much sums it up." She said to Nat. "Alright then, y/n... prepare to lose. Also what was the bet?" She smirked knowing it was something I wasn't going to like if I lost.
Ending this one here. I always wondered what it would be like to play a game like checkers or chess with Wanda. Would be interesting to see if she would use her mind reading ability to win or not. Left it on a cliff hanger if people wanted a second part featuring Natasha herself. I will however only write part 2 if this can get at least 6 votes! And don't forget to request! :)
