i felt the car pull to a stop, and a hand softly shake me awake. my eyes slowly opened, letting the bright light pour in.

"alex, we're here." ethan softly spoke. i turned my head to look around and i realized where i was. memories of our conversation refilled my head and i smiled.

ethan got out of the car, followed by me. i grabbed my bag and shut the car door, following ethan inside.

as soon as i walked in, i was hit with that same welcoming smell. a very homey smell.

"EVRYONE GET DOWN HERE" ethan yelled up the stairs.

soon after the guys filed down the stairs. including grayson.

"she said yes! and... she's joining the gang." it's like as soon and the words flew out of ethans mouth i saw everyone coming towards me.

i felt everyone basically stampede me with hugs and excitement. i was smiling so big and laughing. but when i opened my eyes i saw grayson walking back up stairs. my smile slowly faded as i watched him disappear.

ETHANS POV
(surprise LMAO)

as soon as the guys flooded lex with hugs, i smiled. i'm so glad they like her. i'm also so glad i met her.

her smile was so wide and she looked so happy. she started laughing at how many people were yelling and hugging her.

i looked over to see grayson with his arms crossed and head shaking. i rolled my eyes, and he turned to head up the stairs.

lex had i guess noticed grayson left. her smile slowly left her face and i instantly started to get angry. grayson is being such an asshole.

he won't give her a single chance. that pisses me off. because she's such a nice and amazing person. graysons loss.

once the boys let lex go i walk over and pulled into a hug. she rests her head on my chest and hugs me back.

"welcome to the wranglers lex" i say quietly to her. we were still in our embrace when she moved her head to look at me.

"thank you, ethan. so much." she said looking into my eyes.

"don't mention it. we're happy to have you as you clearly saw." i said chuckling. she starts to lightly laugh as well.

"i'm really happy to be here as well." she said. we both smiled at eachother.

i heard someone clear their throat and both of our head turned, breaking the eye contact.

my face was met with grayson. i let alex go and spoke.

"what's up bro?" i asked.

"we need to talk." he said harshly.

oh great. i turn to alex and she looks worried.

"i'm gonna go i guess." she said trying to leave the awkward tension.

"i'll show you where your room is first okay?" i ask. she looks at grayson and then back to me. "c'mon" i say smiling. she contemplates, but ends up walking up the stairs.

i show her the room and i let her get settled in.

my feet carry me back out of her room and into graysons room.

"the hell is the matter with you grayson?" i ask him. now that i think about it, i don't think he's ever even given her a nice glance.

"why are you letting her in here? she's faceless trash." grayson said coldly.

"do NOT talk about her like that. she didn't want to be in that shitty gang anyways. you have no idea who she is or what her story is. lay off." i growl. he clenches his jaw and steps closer to me.

"this isn't a good idea. especially since blaine is still alive. the faceless aren't gone. she's now added another target to our backs. this is not going to end well. and it will be YOUR fault." he says before pushing past me and leaving the room.

i stood there for a minute thinking about what he said until i heard the front door slam shut.

fuck.

he's right.

but the thing is......

i just don't care.
