Camila Cabello's POV

June 5, 2000 - Past

There is no one in the world that I hate more than Lauren Jauregui.

You must be wondering why, right? Well, I'll explain. I simply hate everything about her. From her arrogant way of being, to the way she walks like she owns the world, to the fact that she thinks people fall at her feet at the sight of her, and much more. But mostly because she always finds a way to torment me. Wherever I go, there she is. Sometimes it's as if she stalks me, and I wouldn't be surprised if she really did.

She must have nothing better to do besides tormenting me. That must really amuse her because ever since that stupid girl walked into my life, I would never get any peace and quiet again.

"Mila, stop squeezing the poor taco. It's not its fault I that you're stressed." I hear someone say, but my eyes are focused on that disgusting human being a few feet away from me, who always seems to be in a good mood.

I wish I could kill her. It's incredible how she manages to bring out the worst in me. After a few more seconds, I look away from that table, focusing my attention on the person next to me. Karla, my twin sister, is staring at me with an amused expression on her face. When her gaze falls to my hands, I look down and a grimace automatically appears on my face.

Shit! I have taco sauce all over my hands.

"Spoiling food again, Chancho?"

My best friend, Dinah, asks with a laugh as she sits down at the table where Karla and I are. I just roll my eyes, ignoring her, but the grimace on my face intensifies as I feel my fingers get all sticky. Great! Besides ruining my lunch, my hands are all dirty. And who's to blame for all this? Stupid Lauren Jauregui.

"Jauregui locked Camila in the drama room again with the lights off." Karla simply can't control her damn mouth and gossips to Dinah, who as expected, doesn't take too long to burst out laughing. My imbecile sister accompanies my idiot best friend as they both laugh like morons.

Who needs enemies when you have these two in your life?

"How many times did she do that this week?" I just listened to the two of them as they mocked and laughed while I tried to clean the taco sauce off my hands. "I think it was seven times."

"Actually, it was eight, with today." Karla answered, and that made them burst out laughing again.

I wasn't in the mood to get even angrier; I had reached my quota of stress with that idiot Jauregui. Today was just another one of countless days where she made my life a living hell; it wasn't out of the ordinary. At least this week was the last week of classes before summer break, and I couldn't be more thankful for that. Fortunately for me, after a few more minutes the subject between those two changed focus completely as soon as the basketball team walked into the cafeteria. It was automatic; whenever they showed up, Tweedledee and Tweedledum started to hyperventilate.

I don't need nor want to hear about those troglodytes' muscles, and which one has the perkiest butt. I don't need this right now.

"Aww... Look at him. Hunter manages to look more beautiful with every passing day."

And there she is everyone: the fool in love. Dinah Jane herself. Yes, she's been completely in love with that boy since... I'm not sure, fifth grade maybe?

Hunter Jauregui, the golden boy. The best point guard in our high school and an exemplary student. Yes, he's Lauren Jauregui's older brother, and he's about to go to college after the end of summer. And that is killing my best friend. He's a nice guy, friendly, charming and he's always helping others, that's why he's so popular. The complete opposite of his younger sister. Many girls lust after him, and Dinah is one of them. I can't understand why, because they know each other, but they have never had anything besides a 'friendship'.
