Jughead's POV

One week later

The last week was very stressful. I suddenly had to step up to be a fulltime father to a five year old. I can't even imagine how hard it must have been for Betty, to be a single mother for years. Juliet is an angle, she's one of the most easiest children I have ever met. My thoughts were interrupted by a phone call. 'Hello'. 'Hello, is this Jughead Jones'. 'Yes, this is him, who is this'; I asked. 'This is doctor White, I have some information regarding Elizabeth Cooper'; the doctor said. 'What happened, is she okay'; I asked. 'We saw some brain activity so the chances are high that she will wake up today or maybe in a few hours already so come fast'; the doctor said. 'Yes I will'; I said. I walked upstairs to Juliet's, when I opened the door I saw her reading a book in her bed. 'Jules, we need to go to the hospital, it's possible that mom is gonna wake up'; I said and she smiled. 'Mommy is gonna wake up'; she asked. 'Yeah probably'; I said. 'Yay, daddy can you help me get dressed'; she asked already picking a sweater and pants. 'Of course honey'; I said.

'Elizabeth Cooper where is her doctor'; I asked to the nurse. 'Het doctor should be here soon sir, I could keep you company'; she said while checking me out. 'No, I just want to know when the doctor of my fiancé comes so I will be waiting with our daughter'; I said looking at her in disgust. 'Come Jules, let's go'; I said sitting taking her with me. A few minutes later Reggie, Veronica, Cheryl, Toni, Kevin, Fangs, Sam, Alice and my dad come in. 'Jug why did we need to come'; dad asked. 'The chances are high that Betty is going to wake up today, the doctor called me this morning'; I explained. 'Mr. Jones'; I heard behind me. 'Doctor White, do you have any news on Betty'; I asked. 'Yes, she can wake up any minute now, maybe she will wake up if you and her daughter are there'; he said. 'Okay, same room'; I asked. 'Yes'; he said. 'Thank you, doctor'; I said, he just nodded and left. 'Come Jules, let's go to mommy'; I said. 'Yay, let's go'; she said and grabbed my hand.

We walked in and Betty looked the same as always. 'Mommy, yesterday I made a new friend.....'; Juliet starts talking about her week while I look at them. Juliet looks just like me, but every time I look at her all I see is her mother, how she acted, her curious looks, how she would raise her eyebrow to make me tell more. 'Mommy, daddy mommy opened her eyes'; she suddenly said. I stood up and saw Betty with her eyes open smiling. 'Jules can you stay here with your mom, I will get a doctor'; I said and she nodded. 'Doctor White'; I yelled in the halls. 'Yes mr. Jones'; he asked while walking towards me. 'She's awake'; I said. 'Okay let's go'; he said.

'Hello miss. Cooper how are you feeling'; the doctor asked. 'I'm fine'; she said. I looked at her with a 'yeah I don't believe that' look. 'My head hurts a bit, but that is all, I promise'; she said. 'Alright we will give you some alone time with your family'; the doctor said and left. Family, I smiled at the thought. 'Mommy, I missed you sooo much'; Juliet said as the doctor left. I sat down and looked at them. 'I missed you too Jules'; she said and I saw the tears leave her eyes.

Betty's POV

'I missed you too Jules'; I said and I started crying. 'Mommy don't cry'; she said and started hugging me. I smelled her familiar scent and hugged her tightly. 'I know, I just missed you baby'; I said. 'I missed you too and daddy did too, he does not know, but I heard daddy cry in bed'; she whispered. I looked at her and she looked at me with a small smile. 'Jules can you go to uncle Kevin, so me and daddy can talk'; I asked. 'Of course mommy'; she said. I kissed her cheek and she left.

'Hey Betts'; jug said sitting next to my bed. 'Hey jug'; I said. 'How long wasn't I awake'; I asked. 'A week'; he said and a tear left my eye. 'God, Juliet saw me like this for a week'; I said. 'Hey, Betty, she's a strong girl, everything is going to be fine'; he said, grabbing my hand.
'I know I just, in five years we have never been apart for this long, she was for five years my lifeline'; I said looking at him. He looked at me sad. 'Did we at least catch him'; I asked. 'Yeah Betts, we caught Brett and Chic and Charles, only Evelyn and Donna are left'; he said and I groaned. Suddenly my lower stomach started stinging. I groaned and my hands went to my stomach. 'Betty, are you okay'; he asked. 'Jug..nurse'; I managed to say between all the pain. 'Yeah I'll be right back'; he said and left.
