Present Day Camila groans as she hears her drunk of a dad yell for her to get up which she did....3 minutes later

Camila's father wasn't with them until he came back the summer before senior year looking for money and booze but he tricked Camila's mom into thinking he was going to get better which he obviously wasn't

Camila rubbed at her eyes as she buttoned up her jeans and threw her leather jacket on before walking down the stairs

Camila looked over to her sperm donor in disgust as he scratched his light stubble that coated his chubby chin

"Get out of here" Camila rolled her eyes as she heard him slur

"Shut up fat man" Camila retorted before walking out the door slamming it behind her

"What did you just *hiccup* say to *hiccup* me!" Camila knowing the man wasn't gonna get up answered

"You heard me!" Camila froze when she turned and saw Lauren looking over at her from her driver seat in her red Jeep

"Can you give me a ride?" Camila asked as she got closer to the car

"Sure hope in!" Lauren answered so Camila jumped in and got comfortable

"Don't you have a motorcycle?" Lauren asked as she pulled out from her driveway Camila nodded and looked down to her phone when she heard a bing it was Dinah and she decided to ignore it

"What happened to it?" Camila heard Lauren ask once Camila looked back up at her

"Ran into a pole" Camila lied not wanting Lauren to know that she crashed it during a race her family's always been tight on money so as soon she was old enough (16) she started street racing her mother found out she didn't like it but she was thankful she also said "thank god you aren't street fighting" if only she knew but that was a different story for a different time

"Of course" Lauren chuckled shaking her head Camila looked down right offended

"What do you mean" Camila laughed as a look of confusion crossed her face

"Oh come on I've seen you fall multiple times after school I'm not surprised you crashed it" Camila huffed and looked forward ignoring Lauren's laugh

"Why you watching me after school?" Camila asked

"Hey! I wasn't I was waiting for Brad maybe next time don't practice in the school parking lot" Lauren laughed as Camila leaned over and hit her in the arm

"You're mean" Camila pouted as Lauren laughed once again

"What's up with your attitude towards me one minute you hate me the next you're fine with me I don't understand" Lauren shifted uncomfortably in her seat as she listened to Camila Lauren didn't really have a answer she really liked Camila as of wanting to ask her out in Junior year but she was confused and angry at the way a girl made her feel like that so once she got with Brad which she knew it was bad because it literally was her crush's best friend but she needed a distraction from her feelings for Camila and if it was another boy she was fine with it at the time at least

"I don't know" Lauren answered simply and she hated how Camila scoffed and looked out the window ignoring her again
