Be Mine
Be Mine
Don't fuss or whine
Don't complain about my overtime
I know I did promise to take you out to dine
I know I was to meet you at seven sharp not nine
Don't jilt and leave me on the doorstep to pine
Don't stand there and look so adamantine
I know I'm covered with work grime
I know I'm just a piece of slime
Don't look aloof and feline
Don't go without a sign
It would be a crime
If you decline
Valentine
to be
mine.
