Last night’s Peanut butter
Last night’s peanut butter is stuck on me teeth,
It’s horrible beyond belief to have a reef
Of last night’s peanut butter stuck on your teeth.
An immovable reminiscence on gums and lips
Greasier than any a bag of deep fried chips
Or Chinese prawn crackers with mayo dips.
It was only one slice of fresh baked bread
Spread with the crunchy stuff before bed
A pre sleep snack to enjoy while I read.
Flossing and mouthwash was a waste
The electric toothbrush with nuclear paste
Did nothing to dislodge the lingering taste.
Now I stare at a plate of veg, gravy and roast beef
Knowing when eaten the taste lingering beneath
Will still be last night’s peanut butter stuck on me teeth.
