"Ugh, Herron what the fuck are you doing to my head? I'm not even gay!"
Zach could feel Corbyn's breath on his lips they were so close. Corbyn groaned, then walked forward, causing Zach to walk backwards. Once Zach was against the wall of the empty...
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Corby, Happy birthday to you!" Christina sang happily into the intercom, annoying everyone. Everyone knew the two were on and off, they had been for a little over a year. He was popular and did every sport imaginable but he really wouldn't strike you as the athletic type. Christina is your stereotypical popular cheerleader. She's perfect, with long brown locks and piercing brown eyes. Considering her father was the principle, she had no problem convincing him to let her sing on the intercom.
Then there was Zachary Herron. He was too lost in his book to even hear her awful voice on the speakers. His finger went behind the page of his book, and slowly turned it to read the next page of Desert Solitaire. (From the looks of it, it's the most boring book every created but like whatever.) Christina's voice maybe not have caught his attention, but the bell ringing and the teenagers running out of the classroom did capture his attention. He sighed and folded the corner of his page and closed the book, and grabbed his binder and text book. He walked out of the classroom. Slowly. He hated lunch, which just so happened to be where he was heading. Zach had about one friend so he always sat by him, causing Zach to feel like he was annoying him, but honestly, Daniel loved his company. Zach was lost in his thought, but was brought right back to reality when he bumped into someone. He landed on his ass, and his belongings had scattered on the floor. He didn't even bother to look up at the person he ran into has he mumbled to them. "Sorry..." The guy squatted in front of him to help pick up his things. "It's quite alright." He chuckled.
Zach still hand't looked at him until he had handed him a notebook labeled "𝔻𝕚𝕒𝕣𝕪". Zach's cheeks became incredibly red, more than they were before. As he reached for his diary, he looked up at the person he had run into. Corbyn Besson. The two made eye contact and Corbyn smirked at him. "Cute." Zach then ripped the diary out of his hands and pushed passed him, basically running to his locker. He shoved his stuff in and sped-walked to lunch. He scanned the lunchroom and finally spotted Daniel. He sat down next to him, out of breath. Well that was embarrassing. "Everything okay Zach?" Daniel asked. "I'm fine." Zach replied with a soft voice. "Welllll we were planning a surprise party kind of thing for Corbyn, would you be interested in coming? Pwease?" Jolene, Daniel's girlfriend, pleaded. "Huh? Corbyn? Besson? Why? Since when are we friends with him?" Daniel asked, he was so confused. "Woah there Zach, you know Corbyn is my cousin...right?" Jo asked. Had Zach really not known? "but you're... and he's..." Oh lord. "I'm mixed, Zachary. I mixed person can be cousin's with a white person." Jolene was clearly annoyed. "Oh...I guess I hadn't thought of it like that... so what? Your parent is related to one of his?" Zach asked her. "Well his mom was related to my mom, but she passed away and his dad... so when he was eight he went to live with our other aunt, Channel." Zach nodded his head in agreement. "Anyways, Chanel is kind of crazy, but we love her, so of course she wants to throw a surprise birthday party for her seventeen year old nephew.
So that sums up how Zach ended up at Corbyn's house, with many other high schoolers he didn't even know.
